Hey guys,

I need some help. My parents have a little something (spyware, normal software I don't know) with which they can see whatever I do. They can't see every letter I typ, they can see which programs I run and when I run them.

I've asked several friends who are good at programming and sofware (since I'm not). They don't know what program it could be either.

Please help ( since I don't want my parents to be able to see what I do :O

They're going to read this then, and know you're trying to get rid of it. There's plenty of keylogger programs like this, and they hide themselves pretty well. Only thing that I know for sure would get rid of it, is to reformat.

If you unplug your Ethernet chord/turn off wireless thatl fix the problem but then you would be without Internet lol. As long as you are a minor and live in there house they have the right. And as long as your plugged into the network in anyway and have your computer turned on there are ways to potentially access anything and everything on your computer.

On a side note, when you turn 18 there is equal potential(notice I said Potential, there is never 100% for sure) to block that. But seeing as we are a mature respectful community that information is going to be hard to find here sorry bud... Just dont do anything you think is wrong, and if your parents are unreasonable I promise you the big 18 will come sooner than you know it.

Or like desert fox said you could reformat. Or buy another computer. but if they were sneaky enough to get it on there in the first place, its possible they could get it back on there.

It's not that I do anything forbidden, it's just that I don't want them to know what I do exactly. I like my privacy.

I for one have no problems with what your parents are doing. The internet is a dangerous place and they are doing what they can to protect you. Respect their decision.

i guess they just dont anything coming in that will harm you or them in any way. because the internet is a very dangerous place if you do not know what you are doing. i can think of a few ways they are finding out what you are doing, but i dont think i can really share it. sorry bud

but if you really feel strongly about your privacy, than can i recommend one thing? if your not home, and dont want them prowling about your computer, i suggest a simple lock down. put a password on your computer so they cant enter. there are ways to by pass it, but i doubt your parents will know. as for how they are finding out what you do, i think ill keep that to myself and your parents

Even if i knew it i do not think i would tell you. But again if you remove the program they will know it and confront you ...lol
