Anyways, I would like to make one clarification. "Decent cooler" is a bit of an understatement. It appears that the "Dual X" cooler that comes on the Sapphire cards has the best cooling of every 7970 on the market.

Although the 7970s being tested in these graphs are not the same model, they do include the same Dual X cooler. This is one of main buying points that hooked me to this card because, as Huck knows, I do have some issues with ambient temperature and the reference cooler on my current 7850 just isn't getting the job done.

I have a question real quick before i order everything is ALL the stuff that i put down compatible with my mobo? its a MSI P67A-GD65
 
Can someone recommend me a new motherboard since apparently mine isnt compatible with my parts and cant run the 1600 memory sticks? thanks!
 
It says on the box though that the only way i can run 1600 memory sticks is to overclock it which i have no clue on how to do it
 
All you will have to do is enable the XMP profile in BIOS. Not hard whatsoever. Sandy bridge only supports up to 1333 ram, so any 1600 ram will have to be "overclocked" to achieve the rated speed. But like I said, it is likely only having to change one option to get all the timings and voltages set properly (XMP).
 
Okay i didnt know that haha but anyways im reconsidering the graphics card and want to see how Nividia is which card from them would be the best? my friend currently has the 660ti and says it plays most games on ultra.
 
I would probably go 670 since you had been considering the 7970. Some decent deals going right now like the pny reference one for $280 AR.
