6. Roger Moore: I know lots of people like him, but his are ridiculous comedies, not action thrillers. Comic book villains, and even more comic book henchmen? Really?

I'm with papa on this. Almost exactly how I feel about the franchise. Although I will say I dig the Moore for exactly what it is. Easy classic good guy always wins kinda movie.
 
Pierce Brosnan was the current Bond when I was first introduced to James Bond, so naturally I think he was the best James Bond.

Sean Connery comes in at second.
 
Its hard to say because over the years not only have the actors changed but so have the directors, also im pretty sure Sean Connery was the not first James Bond.
 
I am appalled at the number of votes for Daniel Craig. Pierce Brosnan all the way.
 
Sean Connery is my favorite, now and forever. He will always be THE James Bond. Close after him to me is Timothy Dalton. Followed by Rodger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, and finishing up with Craig. I just don't like Craig as Bond. He's more of a Borne Identity type of character, to me.
 
Pierce Brosnan brought the most class and style to James Bond.
 
Sean Connry overall never liked anyone more. Then Pierce Brosnan as I have always loved Goldeneye. Then Daniel Craig
 
I always liked Pierce since his Character as Remington Steele gave him a good prepareness to become a good James Bond .. Craig is not too bad either ..

You have to really go back, but Sean Connery was only the first movie James Bond. The first to play James Bond "ever" was Barry Nelson, in a 1954 episode of the television show "Climax!" The character, though, was changed to American spy and was called "Jimmy Bond." Almost no one has heard of it.

Daniel Craig.

Apart from being a hottie, brought more realism to the series and I felt bad for him, happy for him, etc.
 
I'm kinda tossing up between Connery, Craig and Brosnan.
Connery and Craig bring different aspects to Bond, (as mentioned), and I grew up with Brosnan and Goldeneye :P
But, I'll have to say Connery.. He's just classic
