So my computer died a few days ago and just got it back, but now i don't have any audio devices so my mic doesn't work anyone know of any downloads that would fix this problem?

Is your headphone a USB device or a 3.5mm device? If it's USB, that usually counts as its own "sound device" from your system's point of view, so you should go to the headset's manufacturer's web page for information. If it's 3.5mm, you'd need to find out what sort of sound chip or sound card you use.

(Even though wewo already pointed the fact out to post in Tech Forums I'm going to put my suggestion here)

The first thing i'd do since this sounds like it could be a driver problem would be to look in Device Manager for any missing drivers

For 7 and Vista: Start>Right click My Computer> Properties> Device Manager (should be on the left side of the window)
For XP: Start> Right click My Computer> Properties> Hardware tab>Device Manager

When it pops up, look for drivers with a yellow '?' symbol by the name of the driver.

If any of those symbols are showing up, that means you're missing that driver and need it.

The next step would be to go to the website of your brand of computer and search for your model of computer's drivers.

As mav said above, you may need to go to your headset/mic's website for the driver for it if it's not a computer sound issue but just the headset issue

I'm not 100% sure its a driver issue but from what you've said it sounds like it could be a possibility
