Earbud suggestions?

Hey guys. I'm looking to replace my $10 earbuds but I really don't know where to start. There are a ton of different brands/styles out there so I don't really know whats good. I'm looking to spend around 40 or 50 dollars.

I don't want incredible bass or anything. I just want a nice balanced pair of earbuds. I often listen to choral music, which has lots of highs and lows, so something that is balanced would probably be the best for me?

From personal experience, in that price range I would recommend a pair of Ultimate Ear 400's. I had a set of these for a very long time and they always served me well however they are a slightly older model (replaced by the UE500 http://ue.logitech.com/en-us/earphones/ue500) so you may have trouble finding them. The 500's are good as well but slightly more expensive.

If you are willing to spend slightly more then SHURE's SE215's are absolutely amazing (http://www.shure.com/americas/produ...nes/se-models/se215-sound-isolating-earphones).
Very balanced but also capable of massive bass while still keeping the definition in the high's. They are slightly more expensive, about $100 I think, but they will last much longer and sound so much better so if you can get a bit extra then those would be the way to go.

I own a pair of Shure SE215's, as well as my dad, and we both love them. A good site to check out that we bought ours from is Earphone Solutions, and they have a wide variety of earbuds to choose from. Definitely recommend SE215's.

All good, best thing to do is just go to a store and see if you can have a listen to some and find the ones you like the sound of the most. There's to many brands at the lower price range to be able to say which one would be best so try a few and see what takes your fancy. Best of luck!

i have a pair of skullcandy 2xl's and they sound amazing. great bass. trebles are not too high. got them at rite-aid for $11.99 (forgot my ear polutions at home and wanted to listed to music while working) I like the SkullCandy's better then my earpolutions. i had a pair of Zagg Smartbuds but lost them....

Sennheiser is always a good pick, they're a trusted brand and always have good quality. So those you pointed out would be a good pick.

I've always had a soft spot for Sennheiser and Klipsch. The Klipsch S3's are going for 49.99 on newegg. I'd link but my work computer is derping and won't load anything up.

I personally have Skullcandy Titans and they go for 29.99 on newegg right now I believe.

Do note that most if not ALL headphones, speakers, earbuds anything that produces sound needs to have a burn in time before they sound their best. So maybe at first you won't like them, but after they settle and loosen up they'll respond better and sound better.
