Problem with Counter Strike

Hey guys:

As you may have known, I recently built a new computer. Two of the main parts, the card and MoBo, arrived faulty and so I had to wait for replacement for each. after all that struggle I finally have my new computer.

Anyways, back on topic. This problem only occurs in CS:Sand on eGO servers and it only happens like this: I can connect to the server and play normally until the rotation ends. The server "changes" level then I enter into the next round. As soon as the MotD appears however, hl2.exe crashes. Since this happens only on our servers, this leads me to believe our MotD is faulty our something on my computer does not like it.

Anyways, I would like to mention that first, this problem only started since last night. Second, the current security programs I use are Microsoft Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials and MalwareByte. Finally, I can temporarily solve the problem by launching Counter-Strike anew and join the eGO server again until the rotation ends, then it repeats.

I need help so I can avoid the annoyance of having to CS:S crash and having launch the program again

Thanks and Merry Christmas,
Jolly

Bro it happans to me ALL the time. I've been too lazy but somebody told me if you go to your steam library right click counter strike and click preferences, then something .. Then there will be verify game chaser or something like that. I'll try it tomarrow and tell you if it fixes it.

Although you fixed it, did this happen every time you tried connecting to a eGO server or just on occasion?

hl2.exe crash

Your not alone & it's not just CS. I just recently started having the hl2.exe crash when playing TF2. Been playing for a month with no issue then 1 day it just started ( nothing had changed driver or hardware wise on my rig ) & no for the last 2 days I have suddenly not had the issue.
Strange indeed ...
My post in TF2 Division on it

In the first post, I said it only happened when eGO servers where "changing the map" and as soon as the MotD appeared.

Since the video within the MotD appeared only those times, I was wondering if there was a codec problem.
