I'm going to be that guy everyone hates because he corrects them on everything.

It should be "Maybe the Maya were ... sale ever?". 1 Maya, 17543 Maya. The plural of Maya is actually Maya. :chair:

Also, the Mayan (note it is Mayan in this case because it is about the civilization not counting the number of people) calendar did not have leap years because they weren't even invented yet. Leap years were actually created to keep the seasons in balance. So actually the world should have "ended" about 18 months ago and we would be in April of 2014. Now if this was a thread about leap years, my rant would be much longer.
