The story of the not-so-little boy that had a bad mouse starts on a dark day... many moons ago...
There once was a boy seeking knowledge
Thus his travels had gone to a college
He studied and wrote
Took many a note
But financially none would acknowledge
The boy did not understand
Why some could cold-heartedly plan
To take away funding
And to send him jumping
Through hoop after hoop on their land.
But he continued on in strength
Knowing this was a trial of length
No matter what happened
His heart be not blackened
Until he could fix this financial taint.
So give unto Caesar what he must
Or he would see his life turn into dust
So he looked for a job
Amid the employment mob
Until eventually towards Craigslist he trust
The times were tough as can be
So sold his enjoyments did he
From guitar to mouse
Or anything thereabouts
His life became work and school without glee.
Eventually this boy had accomplished
While his family and friends sat astonished
He got his degree
And worked like a bee
To ensure his resume would be polished.
And now this boy embarks on his journey
Recovering his fun with his earnings
Computer in hand
His guitar and his stand
But still just a five dollar mouse and it's dirty.
While I had fun writing this, it's not so far from the truth. In college, going into my 4th year, I had a $10,000 student loan get denied 2 days before classes started. I had to drop over half my classes and look for a job to ensure I could pay my bills such as rent, utilities, and heck even food. At one point, because I couldnt' find a job that fit with school, I even began to sell my personal items that were of value, including my computer, mouse, and even my bowl ring just to get extra money to pay my bills.
Now that I've graduated, I'm still having a hard time finding a good consistent job. But I have been lent a new laptop that I can game on, but all I have for a mouse is this $5 piece of garbage. I can't really spend extra money on equipment, so this mouse would mean a lot to me. Thanks!
