Just curious... how many people like CSGO and if you do not like it, why don't you like it?

I mean I know it's definitely a change from source with the different aspects that they have changed in the game and minor modifications to the maps. But all in all I feel that it's a great game with a lot of potential.

It took me around 100 hours to warm up to it, but once you do there really is no going back. Hit boxes are much better and the game seems to be more balanced in the competitive aspect of it.

All in all it's definitely a game that is worth trying but like I said... it's hard to transition to a different version of a game when source has been out for 9 years.

So anyway feel free to post below, but please do not flame anyone or the game, thanks :D

I bought it, Tried it.. Only played about 6 hours in all. I didn't think it was bad or great for that matter. I have been playing CS:S since it came out. It's all about the feel of the game for me. I'm so used to hitboxes in source, the look of the weapons and skins.. the maps... I like source much better because it's what I've mostly known hehe.. Another reason I don't play GO is most of my friends play Source. They have not transitioned to the new version so until then I won't be playing much GO hehe.

I enjoy it alot more than CS:S, but the server is never full, and its boring just to go to a random pub server and playing with random people. Id just rather play on an eGO server in CS:S that has people in it rather than going to CS:GO

Cs:go is an good game. but in my opinion they made it more for console then pc. I cant play it like i play css, since they made it a completely different game. #R3@L7@LK

I think it is far more polished than source, however I usually only play it when the peeps play.

Its good but I only like the nuketown deathmatch map on it. Pretty full and fun.

I tried the casual modes, but mainly play on the competitive ladder with at least one friend. About 100 hours in.

I don't think it's made for the console, but it's console friendly but that's really only with the buy wheel.

I believe CS:GO was a HUGE let down, There was so many things that Valve said they were going to do with the game, but ended up tearing out at the last minute. I've been playing CS since 1.5, Love the game always have. But I find CS:GO to be a waste of money and time, All I see that Valve did with CS:GO was spiff it up to make it look fancy and appealing to attract more players. And the fact that they made so many drastic game play graphic changes was a complete turn off, I don't consider CS:GO to be a part of the CS collection, and I believe it's going to end up hurting Valves reputation. And last time I checked CS:S is still the most played version of the CS collection, What does that tell you? Even on the release day of CS:GO more people played CS:S then CS:GO.

On top of all that, they changed a lot of server side stuff, and it seems to me that a CS:GO Server isn't as customizable as a CS:S server is.

How is this true? The only thing I can think of is the buy wheel. I have CS:GO for PS3 and PC.

I really like GO, but I really wish eGO had more servers for it. The only things I REALLY hate about CSGO is the recoil on some of the guns. (AK for example) My other hate is the buy menu. I dislike that they removed the slots where you can save certain weapons, equipment, etc. other than that it's a great game.

other then the buy wheel i just dont like the feel of the game, it seems too much like portal 2 graphics. Its blocky and honestly buy wheel bugs me.

Finally someone that feels the same as I do about GO.

I wish they made an option for the ability to switch between the classic and GO menus. Maybe call them the "PC Menu" and the wheel "Console Menu". :D

Well if we had cross-platform servers, the Xbox-360 players would get instantly dominated, and probably the PS3 players too, if they don't have a M&K connected.

Oh, and CS 1.6 is actually still the most played version. Yeah that's right, a PC game from NINETEEN FREAKING NINETY NINE is still more played than a game released in 2004 (Counter-Strike: Source).

Seriously humanity, I understand your nostalgia, but what the heck?

I like the game. It's a much-needed update, but the controls felt a bit more...floaty compared to CS:S.

I hope that DoD gets something similar!

How does having graphics related to another pc game somehow cause it to feel like it was made for consoles? The only thing that comes close to feeling like it was made for the consoles is the buy wheel, which I've come to ignore as much as the one in CS:S now that I know all the buy commands. Its shape only matters if you're using the mouse to navigate, but if you're using keyboard hotkeys, then it really doesn't matter except for visual purposes.

Imo, CS:GO is far superior to source in how it handles weaponry (except the deagle, it doesn't cost enough to be the elephant gun it is right now), and also sports a few default game modes that normally would require a mod: Arms Race (GunGame), Deathmatch (obvious), and Demolition. While CS:GO deathmatch makes you get your gun from a buy menu, I believe it handles everything else in deathmatch far better. And in Arms Race, you start out with SMGs and get assault rifles later on, which I can see some people not liking, but smgs are still pretty powerful (compared to source where only the P90 or TMP were anywhere near decent) and there shouldn't be a reason to get stuck on the smg level simply because someone has an assault rifle.

Realistically, I don't really play source that much right now outside of jail and that's because I've come to know and enjoy cs:go a lot better now, especially after these recent updates, rather than giving it some 5 hours play when it first launched and never touching it afterwards. CS:GO deserves the second chance, but it seems most people are reluctant to give it.
