Idea of competition

The Idea

4 teams go against each other, 5 players in each team. For each domination on a player in the other teams, you are awarded a point. You MUST screenshot your dominations through Steam and then upload it! Steam shows the timestamp and date, easier to keep track so there's not a domination getting counted twice. (I know there will be a lot of screenshots :facewall: If you got a suggestion for another way to count, do tell). Also, to make it clear, you screenshot the second you kill for the domination so you see the kill in top right corner.

Now you probably wonder how long this goes for? Second Weekend in each month. Friday 6pm(PST) - Sunday midnight(PST).

At the end of the Weekend, you PM me with your screenshot links, and i will do the counting.

There are only 20 slots, and all teams are randomized together for the sake of fairness, don't want the top 5 players ganging up and oblivirate all the g's, hehe :laugh:
You sign up by simply reply to the thread, so first come, first served until all spots are filled.

The competition will be on the 2Fort Server, the Dustbowl server and the Payload Server. Not all servers, so much harder to find the other teams.

You will also have the tag [A] for example if you are in team A, or if you're in team B.

The Prizes

The winning team will be the only team getting a prize.

The prize will vary depending on my economy, i am a student after all. It will most likely be everything from Mann Up Tickets, Hats, Metal, Keys and Stranges to EACH member of the winning team.

However, there is a special prize for the MVP, the one who scored most points out of all players!!

Now i want your opinions. Give feedback, requests and such what you think and/or want changed.

Have in mind, first time i attempt to even do something like this, there are BOUND to be things i left out

Talked a bit to Pirate, and brought up that a bunch of people could just go onto an empty server during the mornings and re-dominate each other over and over. First, none of the teams gain anything since both get points, yes it would be unfair to the other teams so i decided to take those points away, since it would be easy to see if such were the case. Would also appriciate a lot if you didn't do this, thanks.

Your entire team does NOT have to be on the server, you can be alone in the server and still dominate opposing team members for the points.

The pubs are not part of this, they play as usually and so does the ones in the teams.

I will be online on the servers during the time of this, though i am only one person, i could need someone else to be on another server to check. Also, the screenshots don't lie, so.

Yes, but the pubs will flood the server. There is no way we can get that many people in there in such a short time because the server will be full.

Ya, that is what I would say as well it would be very very difficult to do that and wait.

There is absolutely no way you could accomplish this on one of our servers. It would have to be on a privately owned server.

Having to get all those screenshots would be a pain and would be really really annoying to sort through. I would suggest just taking a screenshot of the scoreboard at the end of the game. The scoreboard does count who has dominations and how many they have.

And you can't hold a competition for 4 teams of 5 to play the entire weekend. Scheduling problems would occur. A lot of them. In addition to that, you'd have to count up tons and tons of points.

Good luck trying to get 20 people to get up in the morning to play this, especially when everyone lives in different time zones.

The entire mechanic of dominations is to show off that you're absolutely wrecking your opponent. It takes 4 kills in a row on the same target without dying to your target to get one domination on them. You have to steamroll to win this competition. If all the teams are evenly matched like you seem to want them to be, then it would be exceedingly difficult to get dominations.

I apologize if I'm being critical, but this competition seems absolutely impossible to pull off.

No need to apologize, i came here to get your opinions. And yes, there would be some problems, pubs, server spots, and i do know there is 2 teams only, lol . I just have to think of something else then.

I say, It doesn't matter if you kill as a team. If you are in a game with a person in Team Band you are in team A try to dominate them. It will keep people on their toes no matter what server you are in. You don't have to fight as a team but it would behoove you to be on the same team if you're in a game.

This is what mean. You don't have to go team against team. Your entire team doesn't need to be there, if you see an opposing team member, just dominate for the point.

2 member in Team A can be in the server and see that a member from Team B is there, they can then just work together and dominate that person.

I would say it's more recommended to go in teams, but it's not needed.

Also i let DeeLuxxed in on this, so he and i will be giving out the prizes, meaning BIGGER prizes with two hosters!! :laugh: Though, he still wanted in on the fun, so he will have a reserved slot, however, i will not be in this.
