Ways to Donate

Hey eGO's,

Okay so I've been around eGO for a couple of weeks now. Before I wasn't active.. but anyway. I really want to do something back to eGO just because I met really nice people on Ventrilo and because I just love to play on eGO servers! But the thing is, my parents don't tust PayPal. And you can say whatever you want, that won't change a thing. But the thing is I won't be able donate to eGO. And I don't want to do things behind there back like buying prepaid cards and then set PayPal up myself and things like that. So do you guys have any advice or other possible way to donate?

Frankly, I would send Artimus a PM and he can tell you specifically how to donate, or if it's possible to do so without PayPal.

Though, right now paypal is pretty good, nothing like it used to be. I use it now, was avoiding it before, and now issues.
 
I agree on the issue with PayPal. I prefer to avoid them like the plague. I really wish there were other options such as Amazon Payments.

Having said that, I found eGO to be such a rewarding community I finally bit the bullet (DoD:S humor) and donated via PayPal anyway.
 
Hey there Dark, I use paypal exclusively and have never had an issue.. however your parents don't trust it and don't want you using it. It sucks but thats life hehe. I'm sure if you Pm Artimus hey can find an alternate method, like money order or check or something heh. Now with that in mind, donating to eGO can come in other forms if monetary donation is out of the question. For instance you can buy a game on steam and gift it to eGO so they can use it for a contest! Things like that.

It's up to you though so don't feel that you HAVE to donate to the community. A member should never feel forced to donate!

In the end, we are still going to be here. We will always be greatest place to game in the world so don't stress! :thumbup1:
 
I am pretty sure they accept posted cash or checks, not really sure though, if you ask Arti, he will know what you can do!

You can always donate games through Steam towards DoDS recruiting for our monthly recruiting contests. Contact me via PM if you would like to take this route, or if you have questions regarding recruiting donations.

I don't think it's a must to donate. it is just the I wan to do something back! :)

Actually I know for a fact ego has a p.o. box. You could probably ask artimus if you could mail something there.
 
Thank everyone for the tips, I'm probably going to setup PayPal. I have spoken to several people and I think my parents will consider it shortly.
