I was wondering what is an open mic and what is push to talk mean

[X-KP]

open Mic is when your mic is ALWAYS on. It's rather annoying, especially if you have kids, are eating, have a loud keyboard, and/or are a heavy breather. Push to Talk is just like DoD voice Comm. When you push the button the mic works. When you don't push it it doesn't.

Perhaps we could make this an 'Ask-your-Ventrillo-questions-here' topic?
