About 2 years ago, I started reading novels using my smartphone (using the Kindle app).

It's really convenient. The "book" is always with me, I don't have to worry about a light at night when the wife is sleeping, etc etc.

ebooks are usually cheaper than traditional novels as well.

I use both my I phone and my I pad there both connected to I books so if i'm waiting in line somewhere or waiting for a Dr appointment or to catch a plane I read a book!

Actual books. You can't fill up a bookshelf with a Kindle or an IPad.

Kindle for me. Sure you can't fill a bookshelf with a kindle, but can you bring that bookshelf in your pocket to another country for extended vacations? Not easily. I'm an on the go person when I'm not sitting in front of my computer contemplating what my life has become, and the kindle is a great option. And you iPad users "oh what do you do when it's dark out hehehehe" I turn on a light. That's right. I would go as far as my desk lamp to get some luminescence up in my room.

I've tried reading on my phone, on a Kindle, on the computer screen.... nothing will ever take the place of being able to hold the actual book and turn actual pages. Real books or nothing for me.

I prefer an actual book, but my Kindle is nice for reading classics, because I can usually find them somewhere online for free. :)

Paper. Can't stand reading for longer periods on a screen, gives me a headache.

I can tolerate reading books on my iPad, but nothing will ever replace reading actual books other than actual books

Nothing beats the feel of an actual book in your hands.

There's this "feeling" that you get from reading an actual book that you don't get when you read from a screen.

Basically all this. I rarely read but when I do I can't stand reading on a screen for extended periods of time and I love the feel of a real book. Nothing is more exciting than watching your progression through the book.

I PREFER books if at all possible, but my Nook is so convenient for carrying my whole library around, and books are usually cheaper on it, too.

Every time i try to read a book in a "book app" i often cant resist the temptation to play angry birds instead, so therefor i prefer a paper book:).
