but for me it's mostly been about drivers.

Literally all it is for me too. Thats why I run an Nvidia card and most games are tailored to their specs and to get better performance from their cards.

got my 650 ti 2gb from newegg on sale. $170.00.

I get 300 fps in dod:s and cs and around 100+ ingames like cod:watw, black ops, modern warfare, etc.

great card, runs cool.. max temp is 45*c at full load.

As for the Nvida vs. ATI statements, while personal preferences are nice, facts, facts, facts, Should be mostly used when giving others advice on parts to buy.

i think I failed to say in my last post that fetterEsel, is correct that "generally" ATI grabs more power to run their cards but that by no means a greater fail rate. And it's kool he's run his own test and all, but still I have found no data to show ATI's engineering is so wrong that they haven't compensated for the extra heat they might produce due to their high power consumption.

ll admit up front I am Nvidia person my self, but for me it's mostly been about drivers. Otherwise I find when you compare compatible cards from each well.

Not saying they have bad engineering, I'm just stating from MY experiences with both of them. Had a more enjoyable experience with NVIDIA, the ATI seemed to be a bit jerky and stuttery in some parts as the NVIDIA played more smoothly. Again, thats my opinion and experience, others may have a different opinion, but I am biased towards NVIDIA.
