Haven't been able to be on as much as I would like to. Ending quarter, ending projects etc etc

Anyway, How are you?

Been good. Still hard to find a job, so I'm still sittin part time as a security guard.

So it's a haiku thread now?

On laptop at work
Procrastinating homework
Must go use ShoutBox

Can't work, can't fight, can't game. My sanity meter= 0

But I'm still breathing I guess

Terrible. I have a 40-55 page research article on the circuit split over application of employee liability under the CFAA due Sunday night. The problem is that I have only 28 pages "done" ...most of which are historical background, garbage that has been said before, and long-winded footnotes. I have one page with like 11 lines of text and 34 lines of footnotes. It's a mess. Worse is that my thesis turned out to be dead wrong and whatever I'm doing now to try to salvage the project (spinning my wheels, mostly) really isn't helping much. I feel bad for my editors. They'll have to read this and they may end up dumber as a result.

I have been doing okay. A little stuff happened earlier in the week but it is now becoming okay...

Oh, you know, a mental breakdown here and there....

Some life-changing events, trips to foreign countries, the usual.

Just finished term 2 at school. Start term 3 on Monday. I'm excited because I'm the new project manager in one of the Flash game groups.

School has been a bit tough as of late, but other than that, I am doing pretty good.

I have a steady job. Sure, it sucks at times (well, most of the time) but that's why it's called "work".
I have a roof over my head. Sure, I'm upside down in my mortgage but my monthly payments are low and easily affordable on even half my salary.
I'm in reasonably good health. Sure, I had a bit of a cold last week but I got over it in a day or two. I have no parasitic infections, no chronic illness or debilitating conditions, no epidemic about to sweep through my village, no terminal afflictions; and I receive quality and frequent health care. I'm going in for a root canal next week but this also proves that I am fortunate enough to have access to affordable high-level dental care.
I have a refridgerator full of food. I can keep food in my own home without going out for ice daily or salting my perishables. There is a store within walking distance where I can get more food, for a reasonable price, any day of the week. Sure, I may not be able to get tomatoes in January, other than seasonal crops, there are never any shortages or famines where I live.
I have electricity. 24 hours a day. Every day. In fact, outages are so rare they are considered near emergencies.
I have easy access to clean drinking water. I just walk into the other room and turn on the tap. Fresh water is piped into my home. My waste is taken away in much the same manner. There are no fetid cesspools breeding cholera on my street.
I do not fear that those from the neighboring village will come burn my crops, take my possession, or seek to do me harm. In the unlikely event I require assistance defending myself or my property from criminals, I make a phone call and help will arrive in a matter of minutes. Should my house catch fire, I can summon aid for that as well. Should I severely injure myself, I need only stay conscious long enough to dial the phone. I can then fade. My rescuers will trace the signal and come revive me.
I can read and write.
I can vote.
I have free will.
I have the luxury of leisure time to come post on these forums.

Overall, I'd say I'm doing great! In fact, I'm probably doing better than 95% of the 7+ billion people on this planet. Thanks for asking.
