I'm not sure about the practice rounds, but if you are not on the roster at TCN, you will not be able to participate in the matches.

Honestly, probably because you don't check the forums enough. Steam announcements were put out the day the signup thread went live, and said threads have been on the first page in divisional discussion for nearly two weeks.
Sorry you did not see it sooner, but those who regularly check the forums could not miss it.

I would like to be a recognized back-up if such a thing exists.. Unfortunately I am working the next tryout date but I would love to fill-in if I'm needed. I miss scrimming. I have been away for a while. Busy with work.
Either way good-luck to those participating. Due to my fluctuating schedule I'm not going to sign up as I really have no idea what the hell days I'll be home on after next month.
Stay sharp everyone! and Learn the calls if possible. Will help a lot. Not sure what maps will be played.. I assume the usual bunch of boring comp maps that TCN usually hosts. Practice!

Following the 2nd tryouts session, those that make the team will be contacted privately. As for those who do not make the team, you will know when the team roster is made public; if you are not listed on the roster, you did not make the team. Good question.

If anyone from session 2 needs help with their demos, feel free to ask here. If your demo is too large to be sent via email, you may use a 3rd party uploading site such as Dropbox or Mediafire, and email the share link to [email protected]
A reminder that demos are to be submitted by Monday, March 11th no later than midnight EDT.
The team roster will be posted hopefully within the next week, and you will know then whether or not you made the team. Lastly, please do not ask how well you did in any relative sense. I am happy to give you a quantitative analyses of how you did (i.e. how many kills you made vs deaths, etc), but I will make no comparisons in any way.
If there are questions related to the comp team, feel free to ask here. Thank you to all who showed up on time for tryouts.

How well did you think we all did despite it kind of went one way for a while on allies?
Working in squads of 2-3 with support, support, assault going in to flank worked pretty well. I believe communication was the ultimate goal that we achieved on the first half. At times I couldn't give out locations because everyone was going nuts on the mic. The first few minutes of the first half I struggled to find my groove, but it came in when we got the first round and I got the feel of everyone else's strategy, insight, and direction. It was hard at first to understand where to go or where I could go to work with someone and push.
Overall it was a great match.

I set up the halves so that each team had a marginal advantage for 1 half. I wanted to see how well everyone played under pressure, and more importantly, who burned out and how fast it happened. Don't worry much about who won and how many cap outs you got. I am more impressed by the players who were consistent and sustained an acceptable pace than those who went all out in the first half.
As for how well everyone did, you will find out later this week when the roster is posted.

Yeah, i recall being 'bulldozed' by lung at least three or four times: almost always near the broken bridge.
But i can't remember who exactly, during the first half i kept running into a player that always killed me. I think this happened at least 3 times. Just on the allied side of the riverbed.
Oh well.
