Steam Update?

[Pzycho]

Everytime I turn on my computer, Steam always says it is doing a update, it opens this window.

Anyone know how to fix it? Or is it actually doing a update.
Thanks

Yea it happened to me the first time the other day and i just though "crap what did i break" -- it happened right after a power outage too.

I don't think it's really installing an update.

Prolly just another thing to add to the routine check every time you restart Steam. Like a update checker or something.

It is updating, or, if you happen to be up to date, as Goz has said, then it will be checking if you are up to date. That window is a new update window that they put in with the most recent large update where they added chat history and offline messaging.

It's been happening to me as well, I just start up my computer in the morning before I leave, then I just have it ready...
