So for those of you who don't know the Torque engine went open source.

I was making a video game when I was 19 but I quit because of life... now I'm 26 and have a good steady job where I make more than decent money.

I'm trying to make another Tribes like video game but am wondering if it's worth it... could anyone list out a GOOD matrix I should use to decide?

Mine:

Free game engine
built in map editor

Cons:

No team
I can't model for crud
learning curve
$$$$$$$$$

Anyone got anything here?

I'd love to try it out if I was good at graphing and stuff.. And modeling and drawing but blow haha presue your dreams

lol well I'm 26 man, I'm full time military so I have to have a balance between reality and dreams, much how Commanders have a vision then get slapped with the mission faults haha.

I currently have some local, and international friends working on a project (probably nothing you're interested in), but we do have ideas and are going for Flash Games and other works. Are you good with coding, like C++? PM the details if you want or post back.

Currently we have:
Sound Engineer, (Music Artist(s))
Writer(s)
Artist(s), (Spriting), (General Art)
(No animation specialist at the moment)
Basic "paper" modeling, but nothing solid on the computer.
(Obviously no coder at the moment)

I wouldn't mind helping in any way possible. Please PM me with any details needed to begin my work.

I'm more of a manager than a coder, I can code some light C++, I'm fairly good at scripting but by no means would I do coding for a project... Math is not my fort-ay :(
