What do you guys think of the consoles and the way they are made to how the computer ports will play.

Will the 8 core amd's do better than a 4 core intel?

Clarify yourself please. I don't understand what you mean by "computer ports" and what's the comparison between 8 core AMD vs 4 core Intel? Are we talking about CPU performance, console performance?

I miscombobled my self, next gen consoles will have 8 cores on a chip. Console games are made and than ported most of the time. So i was thinking of a new computer, would it be better to go 8 core amd or 4 core intel. There is always the 6 core intel, but who has a extra 1000..

Would it be better for performance to get a 8 core or a 4 core, in game.
This would all be computer performance on the console ports. I know they aren't out yet but since they are using this architecture, would it be a change.

I assume you are speaking of AMD's Bulldozer cpu. For the most part, it was a let down. I suggest sticking to Intel for a gaming platform.

Go with the quad core Intel. It's still a great chip and if anything, unless you're buying top of the line video cards, the best AMD/Intel CPU won't get taxed enough to make it a limiting factor.

With that said, if you are figuring on playing mostly console ports to the PC (which God knows why), then it would make sense to go with an AMD CPU since the drivers would be arguably compatible, or at least, it'd be easier to get drivers that work well on console ports than it would be for Intel.

Well games i would play if i had a computer might be ports. I was thinking going intel, but than what about the 8core i was thinking. We will see.
