Battle Medics Are Underappreciated

As some of you know, I often play a Battle Medic on the servers and make healing a secondary priority. Very rarely do I see any other Battle Medics and I wonder why?

I don't know if people just don't like playing one or haven't given it a chance. Like all things, it takes practice, but with time anyone should be able to hold their own against other players on the servers. Personally, I have much more fun killing people as a Medic than I do any other class. Gotta love critsaws and arrows, they're dabes (unless you're on the wrong end of one).

I do the same though. If I see someone coming for spidEY from behind, I whip the Amputator out and make sure to remove a limb.

Arrows to the head and knee are the highlights of battle medics. I play them now and then, its okay to me, nothing to play all night or whatnot.

Exactly! If you want to get yourself killed that is. The medic makes such a great assault class because his health regen allows him to stay on the front lines continuously. Take that away, and you might as well be a smg sniper.

Exactly! If you want to get yourself killed that is. The medic makes such a great assault class because his health regen allows him to stay on the front lines continuously. Take that away, and you might as well be a smg sniper.

Bah, you just don't have good aim. It's saved my life many times where regen wouldn't have.

Take it from a pyro, it sucks hardcore being kited around a battlemedic.

Medics are nearly impossible to kill if you let them get away as pyro. Can't flare, medics are too fast, can't shotgun, too far away for it to work, can't airblast, medic runs, kites and blutsaugers. Unless you've backed yourself into a corner, in which case, you shouldn't be using blutsauger anyway, then you're a win/win in pyro confrontations.

Over Time on Foundry always has battle medic's in the last round doing both healing and killing things with the needle's.

I flare scouts all day. i hardly think a medic would be a challenge. Besides, they NEVER get away.

Battle medics are like heavies only using melee, it's fun but not doing much to help out. Able to heal power classes and focus on fighting? All I can say is that i'm glad they are such a rarity

I think, in most cases, it is. But I personally prefer the Crusader's Crossbow. I like shooting people from across the map. And the health bonus with the Amputator ain't too shabby.

I disagree. When I'm capping flags, defending points and getting dominations; I'd say that's helping my team.
