CS:GO Server Poll

Hey everyone,

CS Leadership is looking into changing our CS:GO server. As most of you are probably aware of by now, we have not had much success with GO since it's release. We went from four servers on release to the single Office server we have now. We've also gone several different setups for the current server before landing on Office. This server generally sits empty all day, and we haven't paid much attention to it or our support for GO.

We would like to give this server another shot, but we want community feedback. This is your division more so than ours, so your opinions need to be taken into account.

What we want from you:

1. Vote in the poll for your preferred game type.
2. Make a reply post stating why you picked what you picked.
   • Also, please state your preferred server setup (map(s), round time, respawns, whatever it may be) for that game type so we can better understand what each of you would like to see on our server.

Please take into account that we cannot please everyone. We do value your opinions, but with a large amount of opinions from you comes a big decision for us. Know that we will do our best to account for the majority vote as well as what we think will help the server and our standing in CS:GO.

I voted deathmatch, simply because I like deathmatch. As far as maps and everything else, that's whatever you choose to do.

I'm enjoying the competitive aspect of the game. Usually, I'll find 4 or 5 other guys to join a competitive classic game and play a few matches throughout the day. We've had a pretty solid core of CS guys who have played competitive scrims generally during the day time hours. I know a few members have even recruited members to our community simply by scrimming with them on occasion.

Edit: Well damn. I didn't think about it at the time but if I can still have my voice heard, I would like to vote into other. I love them surf. I would play on our surf server daily as it has been my favorite game mode on both CS:S and CS:GO for a couple of years now.

I love my competitive. Kantoku Kurumi, Zero Louise, and Fistacles? are the best trio out there.

If i am not mistaken, Fistacles? recently changed his name to Colin Mochrie.

Stock arms race would be a close second.

Both are superior to their modded versions, and both are better than what can be found in source.

I have another reason why I want surf. Many people, myself included, do enjoy surfing even if it's by themselves! I do it to practice some maps and keep up with my skills, and it provides something to do when I don't have the time or not in the mood to play a normal match. Also, I would personally prefer standard surf (when you die, you are dead for that round) or a surf deathmatch server. As long as we stay away from the rpg plugin things should work well.
