Battle Medics

I've been recently playing alot of battle medics with NativeAlien, and I want to get your opinion on this.

Do you frown on battle medics or do you applaud them. Oh and if your wondering, we went the standard ubersaw battle medic and won 4 matches in a row, until some people got smart and switch to pyro ,

Battle medic makes me frown if you refuse to heal people. But I suppose that is the essence of "battle medic".

Well, blutsauger uber ubersaw is pretty powerful, but don't forget your teammates. I rarely go straight battle medic, but if I see I can give just enough advantage, I'll toss some needles out with deadly accuracy. Once you master arcing and leading projectiles, then you have mastered the true power of tf2.

when i do play battle medic, i rock the kritz or the quick fix, so i can give fast heals

To be a good medic, one must learn the ways of the battle medic. I seriously can't remember the last time I was backstabbed as medic. But when a medic doesn't heal anyone and just runs around with a blade, I used to rage, but now it's just annoyance.

A good medic is a battle medic. One should just not only heal but fight as well with the team. Keep them alive and fight those who try to flank them from behind (spy/scout) and give them your good like tools of destruction (krit/uber).

To just run out and kill is pointless as thats only a fraction of what you can do with your class. Use all of it so you will have the advantage in a fight.

For the most part it was Clone & Native, running a medic chain & ubbering each other and themselves, not what i generally think of when someone says "battle medic"

Then what do you think of? That's what a battle medic is.

medic uber chains or self ubers are a bit more frustrating than a medic that kills people and tosses out the occasional needed heals or lends ubers to pushes

My trusty Ubersaw Schrodinger has accumulated quite a few kills and that does not even compare to all the kills its non-rank-keeping predecessors have done. On eGO servers alone I have killed more men babies with an Ubersaw than with a level 3 Sentrygun. Now that is some serious saw business.

As cool as the crossbow is, that is exactly why I don't carry it. Back-peddling away from pyros and scouts while unloading syringes is just too effective to give up.

That's why you hit or miss, you pull out your melee, sidestep the Pyro and make a hole in their cranium. Much more efficient and badass.

In pubs I don't really expect to get many heals anyway so whatever

I applaud them on pub servers but in a legit game, um... lets just say you better be healing me or else!
