So...sprays?

How do you get sprays working in the beta?

Well its pretty simple, although not as easy as the actual spray upload is. But anyways, what you do is copy the spray's .vtf and .vmt file into the appropriate folder (which you'll have to create).

Copy the two files (i.e. pwned.vmt and pwned.vft) from the folder:
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\**yoursteamlogin**\day of defeat source\dod\materials\VGUI\logos

OR

Copy the entire folder "logos" continue to the next step (but dont create a logos folder just paste it in VGUI)

Then open up:
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\**yoursteamlogin**\team fortress 2\tf\materials
and create the missing folders... in materials make a new folder called VGUI then inside that folder create logos.

It should look like:
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\**yousteamlogin**\team fortress 2\tf\materials\VGUI\logos

And paste the files in there.

Result:

Hah, thanks duality. I'll try that later; I'm sure it will work just fine. You are still limited to 64 or 128 resolution, correct?

nope, whatever the spray was initally created as... the vmt and vtf files are already adjusted to spray specs. My spray was originally like 280 x 280 but the game reads the files as any source game would

It's just a couple of copy/paste jobs. If you aren't particularly computer savvy, I can understand your stance though.

First of all, sprays that are offensive or pornographic are not allowed on our servers.

Second of all, it's a great way to promote our clan and let people know you're on the server.

Third, the argument that it doesn't fit is invalid when you consider that they are allowed in the realistic-looking DOD:S. They fit a cartoony game much more, wouldn't you say?

Fourth, that didn't work for me. I did what the instructions say. When I go to MULTIPLAYER, it shows my tab in the tab, but nothing appears when I spray. :-?
