Come on, gameME points system & standing are a joke & I've never gotten why anyone cares about it.

1st it's tracking some "crazy" point system in PUBs

2nd it's only tracking servers using gameME (there are a lot of servers out there using something besides gameME or nothing at all) so ...

3rd as I've said it's a "crazy points" system

1. Get a good pocket. Medicing doesn't work if your pocket isn't that great.

2. Go combat engy. Mini sentry spam is godlike.

3. Go heavy. Stuff just dies.

I topped out around 900, and had one bad night where my team was just getting rolled despite my best efforts and coordination. I fell so hard that I got seriously angry at watching my points drop. I had to stop playing. At that point I realized I needed to make peace with my mediocrity and set out to play for fun, as originally intended.

The rankings are fun, and are an interesting tool, but with the higher level players our servers tend to cultivate, I've realized with my allotted game time, I'll never be able to compete with the "Wronskains" of our organization at even the pub level. Depressing at first, but liberating when embraced.

Serious suggestion for frozenfangs:

I have seen a TON of solid pyros lately using the burn-and-axe combo with a degreaser. Or, it seems that the rake (backscratcher) has a really nice crit rate, probably a bit OP. Melee seems to be the new (or at least new to me ^_^) big thing, so maybe you focus on the shotgun a bit less?

We've been using that for a long time bro

It's just that blasted Cidel Fastro who started the whole quickswitch Backscratcher combo. It's really annoying.

btw, you get more points if you kill someone with melee than with secondary, and more for secondary than with primary. So either spy or pyro is good for points.
