Mine dates to a cleric character of mine from an AD&D Greyhawk campaign circa 1986; Hexiir of Keoland, priest of Wee Jas, god of the dead.

So, unless you were hanging around the poorly lit and Mountain Dew tacky gaming tables at the back of Jelly's in Aiea, HI 27ish years ago I'm pretty sure the name was original when I coined it.

Ah...nostalgia. Other fond memories from that era include:

Dumping $20 worth of quarters into Guantlet II (and still getting nowhere near the end). "Teenager needs food...badly..."

Aliens the movie. A staple for any true-blooded roleplayer. (Yes, even the fantasy guys.)

The first superbowl I ever watched...in which my beloved Patriots got their asses handed to them by the Bears. Jim McMahon and Walter Payton were playing for Chicago...and I am chagrined to say I can't remember even one Patriot.

Good times...

That Troll Hunter movie was surprisingly good. I watched it one day just because I thought at worst it would be funny bad. But it is actually really well done.

I don't believe you. The only way to resolve this issue is for you to post a copy of your character. Cause surely you kept that piece of paper with.. my gawd I don't even care enough to finish this sentence!

Lets play some Back to Karkand instead. :laugh:

The really, really sad thing...is that if I went digging in my basement long enough, there is a good chance I could come up with it. =)

Now I don't feel so bad that I still have my 3rd edition Drow Ranger player sheet I made for my first D&D game with my dad's group when I was 12 back in 2000 when 3rd First came out. Never got around to playing AD&D. Almost bought the recent reprint of the original DnD books by Gygax at a convention a few weeks ago. Unfortunately though, I don't speak to my father anymore and I have literally 1 real life friend who'd play D&D so I don't get to play much anymore, aka not at all. So didn't think buying them was worth the money I have very little of anyway.

I've dabbled with the idea of using fantasy grounds 2 to play with people online but I always end up needing to be the DM and since I have bad enough commitment to a single thing I feel I'd be a horrible DM.

Well, dunno where you're at...but if you are anywhere near Downeast Maine (highly unlikely...but...) you're welcome to join the group we have up here.

As for online, I've done PBEM before and would be happy to do it again. I'm always up for telling a good story.

Glitter Boys, Juicers and LeyLineWalker's oh my!

I love the Rifts setting (and they have the best artwork ever)...but never cared much for the Palladium rule set. I'm more of a GURPS guy.

I'm in Missouri and probably will be for at least the next 3 years now that I've been accepted into MST's Nuclear Engineering Program.

I've never thought about what a PBeM entails. How does it usually work?

Also, I love the idea of the GURPS system. I have the Characters and Campaigns books for the 4th edition. Never actually played it though.
