eGO minigames server?

I know that eGO at one point had a mini games server for cs:s that did not do very well but after the great success of last weekends 24-hour event, I personally feel like it might be worth another shot. I know that I, for one, only ever play jail or mini games so I would spend a pretty good deal of time in this server and I would be happy to make the effort. Does anybody else feel like this might be a good idea or that this is something they would like to see happen?

We need to speak up for what we want, cause if we don't then we will never get it.

P.S. I just want to give a huge thanks to all the E.C's who participated in the 24-hour event. You guys are awesome.

I mean we do have the crackhouse server that has a worse ranking than the Event Server itself.. lol. So I don't see why they shouldn't give it another chance.

Zambie Server > Minigame server

I couldnt see us getting another server unless we dropped a server that was doing bad. For example we dropped the last zombie server for italy, and its doing well.

Everything deserves a second chance. It has been quite some time since minigames has been implemented in eGO. I wouldn't mind filling it up and having some good laughs on there

i agree, a minigames server would definitely be awesome. i for one would play on there all the time. :)

minigames get real old real fast. There is nothing to keep rounds fresh after each minigame has been completed. If the game is selected by people, the same minigames will always be chosen and people who don't get to choose because of random spawn will feel crushed as the game they want chosen is never chosen. If the selection is random, the games nobody likes end up getting picked. Both are bad for server popularity, and beyond a few hours, there will be nothing new for a player to see as they will have played it all. At that point, either the same person keeps winning the games and they leave or they stick around to try and get better at the games, most likely the former.

Ultimately, the minigame system is a bad choice for overall server popularity, but considering that its compared to a server that is ranked lower than the event server, it might be an overall gain, but not for an extended period of time. As the freshness of a minigame server wears off, the population will crash. Lower populations discourage people from joining, resulting in a further drop, until it just sits empty most of the day. Looking in the top 50 css server ranks, none are running minigames and looking beyond that isn't worth the effort of proving my hypothesis.

Remember to use the dropbox for ideas, that's just one of the reasons it exists.

Leadership may skip over your awesome ideas if we aren't alerted directly to them.

Although an interesting concept, this would drastically reduce the need to have minigames during our events. We have many many minigame maps and are always adding more to the list for our events. Making a server out of them would kill a lot of the attraction to events like minigame night or even late night fight.

I do offer a compromise though. Say you guys get a group together and are interested in trying to get a few minigames going... Talk to one of our ECs, I'm sure one of them might be up to the task of setting up a makeshift event on the server. DO NOT bother or pester them if they don't want to. But if they're willing to, I have no problem seeing to it that we have a few more nights for minigames between Minigame Nights.

Don't abuse this if you decide you want to do it. If an EC doesn't feel like it, that's the end of it. If the night you want to do it is close to a Minigame Night, it probably won't happen for the sake of popularity. We're talking a few more times a month with this, max.

I agree with Storm. Since I love minigames myself, just message me if you want to go on and if I'm not busy or anything I'll see what I can do :)

Although this may be true in some cases, i think it is slightly wrong to make this generalization. I personally am a big fan of the [HOE] minigames server and it is highly populated almost all the time. I truly feel like with a little bit of effort (okay maybe a lot of effort, all of which i am happy to provide) we may be able to make a successful minigames server. And like you said, the crackhouse server is just rotting away at the moment, what have we got to lose?

Oh and thanks Ric, i will do that, i just really wanted to get this out there for everyone to see, not just the leadership.
