I don't watch a lot of anime now but maybe I should get back into it.
There have been some good anime movies. I prefer the Japanese version if present for the following:
Sailor Moon movies (I also like the series but the movies were way more awesome)
Shinesman (goofy as hell)
Princess Nine (love softball)
His and Her Circumferstances

Death Note is a pretty awesome series.

The guy who directed Iron Man 3 is actually attached to a Warner Bros, American live action adaption of death note. Could be horrible, or good. Who knows.
