Ok so a friend of mine texted me this morning and told me microsoft is going to change a lot of the restrictions on the xbox one. appearently there will be no allways online and you will supposedly be able to physically lend a friend your games without them having to have been on your friends list for 30 days.

Can anyone verify if this is correct or if it's bogus? If it turns out to be true then it's a beginning at digging their way out of the hole they've ended up in.

On a side note

I'm proud of everyone who raised their voice and made it clear that we as consumers don't have to deal with this sort of poor business practice

Good job to all :)

That part was a lie on Microsoft's part. Their much touted family share plan was essentially a glorified demo. Where it would have essentially allowed people on you family list to play 15-45 minutes of the game before hitting a pay wall.

Here's a link with the full breakdown: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...reverse-position-on-xbox-one-drm-today-report

Essentially what Microsoft has shown us is that none of their DRM features were hardware based...so in a year or two they can turn around again and re-implement them if they feel like it.
