Problems with my CS:S after Server Updates

Hey guys...anyone else having problems with joining any of the CS:S servers after the server updates? Every time I try to join a server, it works, but CS will close a few seconds after with an error pop up after that says that HL2.exe stopped working. I was able to play after the servers updated, but this all happened soon after that. I've restarted my computer and steam several times and I still have the problem. It's only happening to me on all eGO CS:S servers too...I've tried dust2, office, italy, hs, jail, and minigames. It works fine with other servers, so I'm not sure what's wrong. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

EDIT: I just tested the eGO CS:GO server too and I'm getting the same problem while other servers work for me. So I think there's a problem with the server updates that happened today?

EDIT2: I just reinstalled CS:S and I still have the same problem...I NEED HELP PLEASE.

hey.. it may sound little dumb, but re install steam too. may be there is some error in basic place.

Uninstalled steam and then reinstalled it. Then reinstalled CS:S for a third time. Didn't work. I don't know what to do anymore.

I'm going to stop trying to do anything and hope that it just stops by itself. I've completely uninstalled CS:S and Steam, restarted my PC and reinstalled. I'm not sure what else I could try. I think this is a server issue considering it only occurs when I join eGO servers. I also had the same problem with eGO's CS:GO server, which I NEVER play.

I just realized that this error doesn't happen after I join, but after I join one of the teams or spectators. So if I join, but dont choose to join a team, I don't get the error. This doesn't make any sense...

NEVERMIND, NOT FIXED. It works sometimes now, but still gives me the same error a lot. Italy seems to be working fine now...Dust2 is stilll giving me the same error most times. Italy however likes to constantly play the audio to all the advertisements while I'm still playing. I quit.

SOLVED.

It was a combination of AVG and Steam Cloud causing me problems. That's really weird.

Do you mind explaining how you fixed it? I have the exact same problem, where a few seconds after joining a game my counter strike exits, although I don't get any error message. I have been unable to fix this. I have AVG. I have tried disabling AVG and disabling steam cloud to no avail.

Any ideas??

Weird thing is, it only happens on EGO servers. Been playing fine here for months.

hey there tamuangry, it sounds like you are having a different kind of issue. I had the same issue with the previous update where i could join a server however as soon as I tried to pick a side my game would exit. I updated adobe flash player and the problem was resolved. You might want to give that a try. If that doesn't work you may want to seek assistance in our tech forum found here. Hope you get the problem resolved swiftly!

I uninstalled AVG completely. I have MSE too so I didn't really need AVG. Then I turned off steam cloud...not just for CS:S, but for all games by going into my steam options. That solved it for me, but I'm not sure if it will solve it for you.

I still have another problem with CS:S though...once in awhile I'd get a glitch where I can only type chinese characters, squares, and random letters and I have no control with my keyboard so I have to restart the game. That still annoys me to no end.

I don't even have chinese characters installed on my PC!
