CS:S and CS:GO not working for eGO servers

Hey...I posted this in the CS:S forum, but I thought someone here might be able to help me out better? I'm just going to copy and paste my post. Thanks!

Hey guys...anyone else having problems with joining any of the CS:S servers after the server updates? Every time I try to join a server, it works, but CS will close a few seconds after with an error pop up after that says that HL2.exe stopped working. I was able to play after the servers updated, but this all happened soon after that. I've restarted my computer and steam several times and I still have the problem. It's only happening to me on all eGO CS:S servers too...I've tried dust2, office, italy, hs, jail, and minigames. It works fine with other servers, so I'm not sure what's wrong. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

EDIT: I just tested the eGO CS:GO server too and I'm getting the same problem while other servers work for me. So I think there's a problem with the server updates that happened today?

EDIT2: I just reinstalled CS:S and I still have the same problem...I NEED HELP PLEASE.

So I personally can't test this fix as I don't have this issue but I did some poking around and this is something I found which I have a hard time believing this is the fix but it was worth letting you try it.

I actually fixed it...I edited the thread in the CS:S forum, but forgot about this one. I uninstalled AVG and turned off steam cloud for all of steam. If one of the other was there it would continue to have the same problem. It was also due to the ads I believe since at one point I was still hearing the audio for the ads while already playing for minutes. I believe the higher ups know the problem now.

Yea HTML MOTDs can cause issues.
