Omg.. im crying its too funny.
While that's also possible, I still think it could be a "cover-up" to try and distract people again and tell everyone it was a joke when they were telling the truth.
I don't know. I don't doubt that it's a joke, but then what about these:
Unforeseen consequences just makes way too much sense. That and HL2 got an 3.7 GB update. Maybe Valve's throwing the Internet a bone.

In any case, HL3 is probably Valve's biggest chance to rake in tons of cash. I refuse to believe that it isn't confirmed.

According to the press release, the latest Half-Life 2 update was to bring Oculus Rift support to the source engine. False alarm guys, Half-Life 3 is still vaporware.
Why do a whole ARG just for Oculus Rift? They didn't do that with TF2.
