Daily Reminder: Go See Pacific Rim.

Yes! Go watch it! One of the best summer blockbusters out there! Definitely next to Star Trek Into Darkness.

I want to see it in IMAX 3D, but I would have to hike up to San Francisco (for an hour) to the Metreon. IIRC all of the IMAX screens here in the south bay are liemax.

IMAX isn't as important as you'd think. I first saw the film in 2D on a conventional screen and I still enjoyed the crap out of the film.

I guess I'll see it in a 2D theater... thanks for the advice.

Yeah, I saw it yesterday in just 2D. It was really good movie.

Damn, I haven't reminded anyone of this film since the 21st. Something is not right about that.

Oh, last weekends figures: US Gross - Terrible. Foreign Gross: Great.

Mexico, South Korea, and Russia love this film...why don't you?

Didn't it feature Korea and Russian Machines?

Chinese and Russian machines.

The film hasn't open in China yet, though I'm sure it will do pretty good there. I mean most of the film takes place in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong scenes are so stereotypical that it's borderline racist how they illustrate it. People get around using taxis and subways! Not richshaws!!! :glare:

Lived in HK for 9 years, never even seen a rickshaw.

Good movie, nonetheless.

Wow, watched the film twice never noticed the richshaws.

*Edit*

Fun fact, the movie was filmed in Toronto.
