Gifting of Battlefield

Hey,

I'm a TF2 guy, but some of my friends are pressuring me to try BF4 when it comes out. I was able to trade some of my TF2 keys for CS:Complete, so I've been playing CS lately. I was hoping to do the same type of thing to get BF4, as money is kinda tight lately. Obviously BF4 isn't going to be a Steam game, so the mechanics of a TF2 items for BF4 trade is going to be a bit more involved. My question is, in EA's system is there a way to gift a game to somebody similar to Steam's system? In other words, can somebody buy a game and electronically send it to somebody else? I can get a middleman that would take my payment and take the game and do the switch for us, I just want to make sure that the person on the other end isn't going to then claim that their key got ripped off or something stupid like that and I end up losing my items and getting marked on EA as a thief.

I could go through PayPal and then buy the game myself, but I'd like to avoid this if possible as I don't have PayPal and don't really want to start with that.

Any help you guys could give me would be appreciated, as I know you're more familiar with EA's systems than I am.

No you can not gift,but, if someone buys the game for you and puts it on your account..viola....

Another option, which is what jtipton did to buy me Premium (thanks again, tip!) is to have someone buy Battlefield 4 from Amazon or Gamestop and proceed to give you the product key generated by the third-party site.

Unfortunately Origin doesnt work that way.

The only way to gift someone a copy, is to buy it on amazon as a digital download and once you get the key, redeem it on your origin account. Or, give your friend your origin account info, have them log into your origin and buy the game. Once they log out, change your password.

Origin is very limited to what you can do and send gifts like steam.

My uncle bought bf3 premium for me, I gave him my email/password and he bought it and logged off. Then I logged on in my computer and started my download easy

He only did it becuase I didn't have a credit card though

OK, sounds like it might just be easier to sell TF2 stuff through PayPal and buy BF4 myself. Thanks for the quick responses. I'll probably be seeing you in October.

I believe you could buy origin giftcards from third party retailers.
