Zadori: Did you follow the exact installation instructions in the readme? They should be infallible if you can find your Steam folder.

Awesome jobby, man!
Is it possible to increase the stash size or do you run into ergotrid oversizing issues?
You may also wish to make the knee pads the same color as the jeans so they don't stick out as much. The bottom of his shoes should probably be the same color as his shoes, as well.
If you haven't already thought of it, you could also try and make the ammo boxes look like the "?" blocks and customize the wrench and such.

I originally had the 'stache much larger but it just scales horribly with his different facial expressions and the fact that his face is round, not flat. What's 'ergotrid', anyway?
I tried blending the kneepads in with the pants but it just wasn't what I was looking for. It was too hacky, I just didn't like it. I made the soles of his boots differ in color from the... 'body' of the boot on purpose. That's how they are on the 'real' Mario and how it is on most boots. Unless I'm misunderstanding you.
I didn't even think of editing the ammo boxes. I don't plan on expanding the Mario theme except for Luigi as BLU engineer, but that is a good idea.
EDIT: Oh, you posted a second time.

Yoo-Hoo, since you had this setup for remix-able in the licensing option on fpsbanana, I figured I'd just throw together my suggestions real quick.
Its a real sloppy and quick job, but I put on a bigger mustache, capped the teeth, saturated the blue, and blued-out the kneepads. Hope you don't mind.
I was also thinking that you may be able to get away with making the goggles skin color and making the eyes stand out more. I don't think it would be easy to notice if he had goggles on at that point.
Anyways, this is your baby and I don't want to screw it up anymore. Just some bad visual suggestions. I personally wouldn't listen to me.

Yeah, I don't like how the moustache gets distorted when it's that big. As I said I don't like imperfection like that. I even distorted his front crotch seam to be much thinner specifically so it wouldn't stretch as badly when crouching and jumping.
The difference between what I was doing and what you're doing is that I was trying to go for 'Mario as an Engineer'. That is, trying to keep him, within the scope of the TF2 universe, realistic. That's why I chose to use a mesh screen with an eye design for the goggles rather than trying to hack them into real Mario eyes, a smaller moustache, realistically unsaturated denim, and actual kneepads. The large cuff on the glove was the farthest I was willing to stretch. It was also my goal to maintain Valve's design language with the skin: emphasize the top half of the model where the important details are with lighter colors, greater contrast, and greater detail, and straightforward, quite basic textures that may actually still have visible 'brush'strokes in them. My original denim texture had the familiar diagonal lines inherent to real denim but I found it to be too detailed to be consistent with the rest of the game. I still think the overalls are slightly over-detailed but they're too plain or not as identifiable as denim when I remove details.
Stop being so self deprecating when you're suggesting things. I do the same thing, but it's just unnecessary. Your suggestions aren't bad, they just aren't what I was aiming to accomplish. I like trying to shape my vision into the constraints of the model rather than just forcing it in (I'm not being belittling here, though I know it seems so). That's why I won't be making the Yoshi or Bowser or Koopa skins everyone keeps suggesting to me. I've thought about making the Pyro into a Shy Guy, though no one's actually suggested it.
It's definitely nice to be getting some feedback. Obviously it's great to be getting so much praise for my work, but I'd take a single piece of constructive feedback over twenty praises.
