For those who do not know. War thunder is now available on steam.

For those who have no idea war thunder is an air combat game that is similar to world of war planes and star conflict. However the planes are solely from world war 2.

True, but war thunder is way more realistic and has more planes then wowp could ever get

my main gripe with world of war planes is that you get to like tier 5 and like almost every plane after that is just concept stuff that never even got past paper

whereas in war thunder, for the most part the planes at least made it to the prototype stage

games like this are just more fun to me when they are more historically accurate

I'm Downloading this game as a write this, I love WW2 Flight sims, my favorite of all time being Sturmovik 1946. the only problem I'm having is my Flight stick is long gone, finito.

So I'm going to be playing this game with my mouse and keyboard, will that be possible. I'm hoping so but I don't have high hopes because Sturmo is very difficult to play on a keyboard and mouse unless maybe your a bomber but yeah...I'm a fighter

I'v got hundreds of hours logged in Sturmo, and I consider myself a decent pilot with knowledge of basic aviation skills, I also play Flight Simulator X but not since my sitck went bye-bye. What am I to expect from this game?

there are like 4 types of flying control, right?
which control mode (or preset or whatever it is called) do you fly with?

If your only going to play Arcade mouse and keyboard is the way to go, for Historical you can use mouse/keyboard or joystick. Last Full Real Battles are only with joystick and if you have tracker Ir then you have an edge on other people that dont
