Hello Counter-Strike players!

With the sad news of our COD division being shutdown, :crying:, I am looking for a new home. Can someone please describe to me what Counter-Strike is like?

Counter-Strike: Source pits a team of counter-terrorists against a team of terrorists in a series of rounds. Each round is won either by completing an objective (such as detonating a bomb or rescuing hostages) or by eliminating all members of the enemy team.

Now there are tons of game modes to play on CS:S that we support including Hostage maps, Bomb maps, Mini games, and the best Jail server ever.

Like the previous games in the series, Global Offensive is an objective-based multiplayer first-person shooter. Each player joins either the Terrorist or Counter-Terrorist team and attempts to complete objectives or eliminate the enemy team.

Global Offensive focuses more on the Competitive Aspect (so if you like playing serious you can do that as well) of the series and we also host one server for CS:GO which is a 24/7 Dust2 Deathmatch.

CS isn't too much different than CoD4. I imagine you'll pick it up in no time. Our members almost always provide a warm and welcoming environment and if they don't, I'll beat them down for you . If you decide to join our division, then I welcome you to our giant family!

I think I'll like it here in CS. Just have to get the game. COD was/is the only game I own. Hope to see everyone soon!

I used to play cod but on xbox i switched to cs cuz the people were more mature and i love it ive been playing cs or 12 years i began on 1.5 and i must say valve has made probably the best fps games in the last 10 years you are gonna love it

I downloaded Steam but am having problems connecting to Steam right now. As soon as Steam helps me resolve the issue, I'll be playing. Already purchased CS:S.

I have followed all of the troubleshooting steps for Mac (*dons flame suit*), yet I keep getting this message: Unable to connect to server. Server may be offline or you may not connected to the internet.-102

EDIT: I just removed Steam, and re-downloaded it. Looks like it needed some updates. Keeping fingers crossed and hoping it works finally.
