Well, it's me again. I was just playing a game, and my headset seems to have stopped working. It's been faulty for about a month, so I guess it's time has come. I was just wondering if anyone had some suggestions on good gaming headsets. The help would be much appreciated! (Since I have no idea what I'm looking for) Thanks for the help! :)

Did you have a price range in mind Mini?

My personal favorite headset were these

Nothing flashy, quite comfortable, however, no noise cancellation to speak of.

Currently using these xbox headphones, the surround sound doesn't work on PC due to the fact it's straight usb (I don't have a digital receiver on my old pc for the headset to fully work)

Those have great noise cancellation, very comfortable, but the top band is plastic, I lay in bed watching movies sometimes on my pc with these and somehow cracked the top (yes..my head is huge) so that may not be an issue for you

I've also had horrid experiences with Siberias (poor quality) as well as the 5h by steelseries, faulty mics and overall poor quality.

Hope this helps Mini!

Cheap, About 60$, They sound great, very easy to hear everything. Hard to break, I'v dropped mine pulled on the cord and basically put this thing through hell and they still work.

and most of all comfortable and don't hurt my ears :D

It is the best headset I've ever owned.

Good luck with your search!

I also have this headset. If you are going to use it for only gaming, It would be a great choice but for music or movies I'm not crazy about it. The volume doesn't get loud enough for me. In-game it can be more than enough, but if you like to "blast" your music I think you would be disappointed.

TurtleBeach PX21's. I have the PX21's for my PS3 and my PC and love them(Same pair). You can buy them right now at Walmart for $70 and now you have a headset for anything Gaming, music, movies. I have big ears and they are still nice and comfy even after hours on my head. I have had them since I got my PS3 in 2010 and they still work with no flaws today!

You know, I bet there is a great benefit to all of these. I personally get the $15 dollar pair at Walmart. When they give out, after about 6 months, I go get another one. They sound great, I can hear people coming, hear footsteps in buildings that Im not even in. For all games, they work great for me. I guess its just like anything else, personal preference. I might sing a different tune if I were to try some of these... maybe that will be next on my list :)

I have been really pleased with the Steelseries siberia v2. For around 80 dollars you get a retractable mic which is handy if you want to use them for just listening to music on a bus or something. They have decent sound quality and for me the most important part- Comfort! They are the most comfortable headphones I have ever used. I can leave them on my head for hours and hours with zero discomfort. For me that trumps many other factors.

There are two styles, one uses a usb dongle and has lighting effects, which I do not really care about. The negative is obvious because then you cannot really use them for many other devices.

Overall there are a few things I do not like about them. The insulation on the cord is not very great, rub it or brush against it with something and you will hear it in the left ear. I wrapped it with heatshrink rubber stuff and it pretty much took care of it. The other negative is sound quality, these headphones are not terrible but do not expect studio quality audio from them.

When it all comes down to it though the comfort level is awesome and won me over in the end.
