Please note OP:X in anyway, shape, or form does not support MWO. However their are people who play MWO within eGO. Now here is a brief intro into what MWO is for those that have not heard.

MechWarrior online or better known as MWO is a first/third person free 2 play game which puts you into a mech, which face off other mechs. Now some of you non-sci-fi people will be asking, "What in the world is a mech?" Well it kinda looks like this.

Also you might have seen one in a movie before!

The game pits you against other human players in 12 v12 fights on different planets. Each planet temperature takes affect on how hot your mech will run. Now what does it mean that my mech can "run hot"? Well certain weapons generate heat. If you hit the threshold your mech shuts down and must be rebooted, or cooled down if you want it to work again. Some weapons however do not use any heat at all.

Now their are pros and cons for each weapon in MWO. Laser based weapons generate heat, but they do more damage then some ballistic weapons. Lasers also have different types, meaning some fire in burst, some fire in a line and others fire in semi-automatic form. However all Lasers can cause a mech shutdown if you don't manage your heat.

Ballistic weapons such as machine-guns and ultra cannons generate little to no heat. However they do not hit as hard as the lasers in most cases, unless you buy the ultra cannon. Also note unlike lasers, all ballistic based weapons need ammo in order to fire. Lasers do not need any form of ammo.

Now for the beloved missiles. Some missiles are dumb fire( point and shoot) where as some are lock-on, however they can also dumb fire in most cases. Missiles are good at eating Armour and end up causing an enemy mech to force retreat. Now just because you have missiles, it does not mean you win. Mechs can have anti-missile systems to counter lock-ons and long range dumb fire. Also do not forgot to equip ammo!

Let's get to the mech classes. You have 4 main mechs and then hero mechs, but those are only bought with real money.

Light Mech(L) is good for jetpacking for added dodge or to getting up into high areas. They only have speed, which can range up to 145 k. Light mechs have hardly an Armour and their weapon systems lack.

Medium Mech(M) are the all rounders. They pack a decent punch and move well. They can have jetpacks and carry more weapons then the lights.

Heavy Mech(H) are good at punching holes, but lack some speed. They can also take a good beating, however i would not be putting any jetpacks on these.

Assault Mech(A) these baby's pack the hardest punch and can take a crap ton of damage. They have full firepower unlike the other mechs. The Assault class is the most feared on the battlefield.

The list of meachs and pre-set's can be located here http://mwomercs.com/game/battlemechs.

Now feel free to strip your mech and build it from the ground up. Of course you can't change the overall model of it. The customization goes really in-depth, and it boils down to play style.

It might be an older video, but it has not changed that much.

Each mech has its own play. It might be a sniper, or maybe recon. The choice is yours.
