I dont know why they took the snipers off of strand but I think that it Killed the server. At least when I get try to get it started it is very hard for the allies to get off the beach when there are 2 german rifle men and one shot from the german rifle kills you but it takes 2 shots from the allied rifle. People wont stay on the server long enough to get things started. Just my Opinion!

I think it depends on the players. A few rockets/rifle grenades and you can get up the beach. Also means you need to move. I think it all depends on the players.

I can agree with you but it all depends on who is playing at the time if they're just going for the kills.

I believe it was set to be like the Anzio server... to limit the sniper/mg until there are a set number of players on the server.

I thought it was only mg. Anyway, strand was dying before they made the change. The fact that everyone is blaming strand losing players due to the mg change is a false accusation.

well , strant was not 100% fading, now snipers are gone, it is , i always played strand, with sniper...

Just a heads up...Strand's weapon restrictions have been turned off. It should be back to normal.

Strand sucks anyways, time for a new map

I would have to disagree. Helping servers are better, even if you don't care for it. New maps do not make a great fail safe.

This is 100% correct. The server was growing increasingly harder and harder to start. Whether the normal avid fans of that map have just been absent, or just lost interest, I dont know.

What happens, is that one person joins axis, one joins allies. the next 2 join axis. now its 3 versus 1, with 2 snipers and an MG. Cant even take one step on the beach, much less try to get off of it. I watched 5 people join, get shot 3 times then leave. It was really, really hard to get it going. Now, the theory is that once you get a handful of people, the weapon restrictions go away. This change is all about getting the server started, not keeping it going. Once people join the weapons are normal.

The simple fact is that we are trying different things to help the server, instead of just watching it decay and fade away. Like it or not, that IS what is happening.

We even have an hour dedicated on wednesday night to help populate the server as an event.

It is a desperate attempt to help. If you have other ideas, other than just changing it back to what wasnt working, Im sure it wont fall on deaf ears.

Thanks,

Q
