What's the story behind your name?

Back in the day... the year was 2000. The game: Age of Empires II. I played someone named Hellblazer under my ancient liberator55 name (which i didnt like), and immediately stole it. Not every interesting, but, I've been using it for 8 years now.
 
I went through a lot of names in my early gaming days. It was a lot of hard work for me because I wanted something meaningful and relevant. But each time I thought of something, 2 days later i saw at least 5 ppl who had the same name or some close variation of it.

Once day after I had gone through my 5th name, I decided to just go with my real name. I figured it's the most "me" and most relevant name I was going to come up with. Since my real name is Andrew, I played around with some things and since when I was a little kid I used to spell my name Androo, I just decided to go with Droo....a couple days later I figured out how to use them fancy characters and I changed the oo to ??. So that's the story of Dr??:D

My brother always called my gerbil squishy thus my in game name =(e)=? Squishy. As for my forun name my dad has a 1981 corvette and my first pet name was red put the 2 together and you get red1981.
 
You know? I don't really think there's much of a story behind SpecimenX. I mean, it sounded neat to me, and very comic book-ish. [I'm a huge geek for those of you I haven't told]. That and the random anonymity of it? Well, it made sense. I don't know. How about someone else come up with something cooler?

I have older handles I used to go by, but not these days.
 
just thought thsi name wuz cool and thought why not when the character, Lockon Stratos from Gundam 00, died (hes the pilot of that gundam in my sig and avatar)
 
Anorexia Nervosa is a French Black metal/Extreme Metal band.
It's also a very complicated and often under treated psychological disorder wherein the afflicted feel the need to be ever increasingly thin. It eventually kills them.

I love the band, and if there was ever a soundtrack to the end of the world ,it would be them and I am a metal fan to the core. The power of the condition is likeness to my own will and feeling about life, and that nothing like Anorexia Nervosa could ever afflict me because I am in control of myself and my surroundings at all times. Anything less is unacceptable and as such, I tend to be a very strong and forward person about myself and my beliefs.


It may sound goofy, but it is quite a powerful and real outlook on life.

Not much behind mine. J_landry, Joseph is my first name, Landry is my last name. So as you can see it took me months (if not years) to work out all the clever nuances behind it ;)
 
Red Hot Chili Peppers is the sickest band ever so i got my name off of the insane and crazy bassist Flea.
 
I have my name because I'm a writer. I once wrote a story entitled 'The Croutons of Death' in which a family that constantly murders each other (But comes back) the father wanted something that would kill them permanently, so he bought the 'Croutons of death' at some store as they guaranteed to kill anyone dead. So, no one is eating the salad at dinner that night and he finally screams and eats some of the salad (Including a couple croutons) and says 'SEE! ITS GOOD!' before dying. But then a deus ex machina happens and a shaman wanders into their house and resurrects the dad as a zombie, and of course he goes and eats their brains.
 
When i watched the movie Black Hawk Down, i thought the character "Hoot" was cool, so i tried it out when i first started playing CSS, and i guess it just grew from there.
 
If you don't know, it's from the show darkplace, which is currently the funniest thing I've ever seen. And if you know who Dr. Rick Dagless M.D. is, you know you want him on your team and you don't want to be fighting him. :P

My name comes from A) My love of penguins and B) I like to be stealthy and Mysterious as a sniper in most games. pretty straight forward.
 
i wanted to confuse the living crap out of people and i love ice and dragon came from a friend as for the 2002002 thats the part i wanted ton confuse people with
 
I played on cs and there was a guy on named ZOMG and he was so funny. so i took his name for a while then I started smelling like shit so im like DIRTY Z!!
Dirty Z was created. then i started playin dods on eGO and joined and had a great time since with my name.


I RUB MY DIRTY ON YOU.
 
CannonFodder is pretty self explanatory, and describes my tactical trend in every FPS game I've played to date, although this is the first time I've given myself the name:p
