My real name is Rick and my friends called me, trick and I made it to ''Tricky''. Nowadays I modded into TrickShot for games.

Being a new member most of you won't know me. My story starts long long ago when the internet was only found at universities that you payed a big price to use. I was enrolled in a business course that had to use the internet computers for a project and was given a account as part of the project. The instructor name the accounts baker1, baker2 ect so he could check the progress of them. So several years later when households could afford the internet late 1990s, I opened a hotmail account and had to come up with a user name and I tried baker3 but it was used so I spelled out three and have used it ever since. By the way back in the late 90s you were told you should never use your real name on the internet. Hope you liked my story didn't mean to start a book about it.

Well,I made a funny username which is Street when playing Need For Speed Most Wanted:) .Then somehow,i mispelled my the name to Streat.:DI thought it sound cool so i kept it and has officially become my username!!!

I started playing EverQuest and was trying to figure out a name. Since I was taking Latin at the time, I pulled out my trusty English-to-Latin dictionary for suggestions. The class I had picked to play was Enchanter (by mere fluke, but something I stuck with for 4 1/2 years), so I looked up "enchanter" and came up with Cantatus.

When I started playing TF2, the voice chat took some getting used to. People kept addressing me as "Can" or "Cant" which got sort of confusing and easy to miss. To make it easier for myself, I decided to drop the first syllable of my name and use "Tattis" now instead.

I was shot twice in the back by an AK47 from a long distance while I was 9 years old in Lebanon. I still have the bullet hole scars.

I'm an insurance agent with Aflac. One of our commercials featured our duck mascot in superhero garb and later released a plush duck in the same outfit; hence, the picture. I'm also the business manager for a community concert band and our website administrator picked my username for our website. He chose "superduck" because of my job.

I believe I used my name in a few FPS' and things of that nature and it just stuck with all the games I've played since!

So, here's mine story:
First off - my name IS NOT connected to the movie

when i was thinking of a nickname, i came up with Metastatic intelligent being (I know how lol that sounds) - but it was too long, so i just took the first letters of every word.

Still wondering why 2? the name was too short for every forum, so i had to add 4th simbol.

i have been playing for six or seven years off and on and originally i was renegade... but i kept getting kicked from servers under that alias (not banned)... so having been kicked repeatedly from many of my favorite servers i decided to change my identity BUMP BUMP BUMMMM... i was just trying to think of something that was really simple but sounded heavy or cool, i was watching dave chapelle and i thought of 'rocks'... but i figured everyone would think of gravel or crack, and gravel is boring, so i decided on rox, and i mostly think of dave chapelle when i think of rox... i dont know why, i dont watch his show ever, but rox can be interpreted alot of ways... i've seen them all.

Well, it's a long and winding story filled with drama and heart break so sit back and grab a bag of popcorn.

One day I was asked to use a nick name in a game. My name is Clayton, So I got rid of ton. When I typed it I didn't realize I made a typo. It spelled out Klay not clay. From that day forth it just stuck.
ok, I over-hyped the story a little :P

Back in the day (I think like 2004 or 2005) I really liked the band named Finch so I decided to use that name. Ever since then I've been Finch.

hahahaha, great stories guys. bet some people are wondering how i got me name :p
well, most people's first thought, "your fat!!!!!!" and, well, i am. surprise!!!!!

yes, im over weight, but if you see my in game picture, everyone says im not, but i am, im about 80 lbs over weight. this wasnt my name originally, i only changed it after i got into eGO severs. my first was FaTt-a**, you know what that means. i got that nickname back in jr high school, and thought ill apply it onto cs 1.6. well it works, and people have been calling me fatty for as long as i can remember.

ta-da XD thats the story of FaTtY-mIc-FaT, who really is fat :p

Well, I originally chose "identification01" for everything since it's boring, monotone, and hardly noticeable. Plus, I tend to change accounts and email addresses often, so if I ever do, my next name would be "identification02" and then "identification03" and so on.

(Also, I initially wanted to have as little socialization on the Internet as possible?registering and signing up just to be able to access certain features, hence why I chose that name.)

When I changed accounts and e-mail address, I wanted "identity01", but some sites won't accept it. (I changed my name to that at one time while playing Team Fortress 2.)

So, I basically tried to act like some kind of bot and used my accounts for utilitarian purposes, such as making spelling and grammatical corrections on Wikipedia or watching flagged videos on YouTube and have continued to do so a year since I "started over."

But then came Team Fortress 2. By this time, I wanted something more cre?tive. I still chose the previously mentioned names, but then I decided that I couldn't stand them any more.

Since I was?and still am?interested in linguistics, I would create various alphabets (this is the only field in the subject I'm knowledgeable with, along with phonology) for languages I have yet to make. One of the alphabets is yet to be used for an as of yet nonexistent language based on a language called Iţku?l, which was invented by a linguist named John Quijada. So, I decided to make up a word that used the letters of that alphabet and came up with this:

q?lmnc?i

I later on wanted to use something more tongue twisting, like this one:

đļwy?yawaśm?ś ?lmntf?rhoķ

But then I decided to use something rather unique and random, so I came up with "Darth Elmo". But after a while, I decided to go back to "identification01" just to maintain uniformity with the rest of my accounts.

However, I'm still tired with that, so I chose "Id". (It's not pronounced as I.D., as in "identification".) Id comes from Freudian psycho-analysis, along with ego and superego. While superego deals with morality and ethics, id is responsible for our natural wants, instincts, and, all in all, our survival. It is impulsive and aggressive.

I'm more often than not an aggressive gamer, always trying to do everything I can think of to get to what I want, which is mostly to win the round and as many rounds as possible. Plus, I can be very twitchy as a Scout or Soldier.

So, that's the entire history of my name and its multifarious mostly-unrelated iterations.

Well, I thought of a funny name when i first got TF2. Once I joined eGO, i chose the IRS and it stuck. Everyone was scared of me. I liked it. :)

When a friend of mine first introduced me to Team Fortress Classic, I played as a sniper since I didn't need to know the map right away. (It was 2Fort!). Me and another guy from the other team were going back and forth with killing each other. He asked if I felt lucky and told me to go ahead and roll the dice.

Bam!

I headshot him right after he said that. I followed with "Looks like you rolled the dice and came up with Snake Eyes!" When I decided to switch my name to that, it was already taken so I just made the last S into a Z and it stuck thru every video game I've played! *L*
