CS:GO This Saturday

Hello Everybody,

Most of you do not know me, but I am a member of the CS Division and have been for 2 months now. The reason most of you don't know me is because I only play CS:GO, not CS:S, and quite frankly eGO's presence on CS:GO is pathetic. We have one measly server and it's empty 99% of the time. It's ranked over 6,600 for goodness sake. We don't play on it because it sucks playing against bots. If we wanted to do that we'd play an offline game or CoD or something.

Well, I'm going to do my best to give CS:GO a little shot in the arm. I am going to log onto our CS:GO server this Saturday at 10:00 AM CST. I am going to spend at least 2 hours on the server, even if that means playing by myself. I will continue to stay on the server past those 2 hours as long as I have somebody, anybody, on the server playing with me. Hopefully I'll be stuck there all dang day.

If we can hit 20 players on the server I will start handing out StatTrak weapons. I have 9 StatTrak weapons, and I'm hoping to give them all away on Saturday. I have everything from M16s to AUGs to Glocks. I'm hoping that enough people will want the free stuff that we can get the server filled at some point during the day. Maybe just maybe it will spur future CS:GO events. I don't know. I'm just tired of the game because I'm spending a good amount of my time playing with random pubs. Even the people I'm friends with and teaming up with aren't in eGO, and they have no interest in eGO because we don't have a presence in the game.

Show up on Saturday and we can start to change that. Maybe we can even get some leadership members to hop on and make this semi-official.

You should probably try playing CSS with us since the CS division mostly runs CSS servers. If you only play CS:GO, of course we're not going to recognize you. Come into our vent channels, talk to us, play CSS with us. Also just a suggestion, but I think 10 AM might be a little early on a Saturday for some of us. For players on the west coast such as myself, that's 8 AM, and I'm not going to get up that early just to play CS:GO haha. If you move that time, you might have a better shot.

I have to agree with Rogue on this. I've played comp with you a few times, so you know I would love to play on our server with you, but 8AM is really early... I usually sleep at 3AM PST and wake up around noon lol. If you could move the time to a little later in the day, I will definitely try to join. Hell I might throw in some stattraks of my own. You know I got plenty of those... hint hint wink wink.

Great idea, if i'm available I'll try to attend for sure. I love csgo and well, that just might be my warmup for the day. And of course you can't go wrong with getting a chance to win some stattraks.

Don't worry west coasters. I am planning on being on all day long. I can't commit to that because if I'm alone on the server for 3 or 4 hours straight I'll probably go crazy. I'm really hoping that some people hop on before noon and I'll end up staying longer. I have no plans until the OP:X division holds their 9:00 PM ArmA 3 gathering, so hopefully I'll be on until that.

As for the CS:S thing, I've tried playing it. I just don't like it much. It seems like the people are great and the servers seem to do well, but I can't get into it because I don't care for the game. Just a personal preference, don't crucify me for heresy.

I guess they get together on Saturdays and play a modified Resistance. I don't know what Resistance is, but I want to get into some larger ArmA 3 games, so I'm going to be there.

Two hours until the start of my CS:GO marathon.

I will be hopping on an empty CS channel in Vent, so join me there as well. If we get enough people in maybe we can get a CS:GO channel back on there.

So, I haven't yet been able to get into our CS:GO server. It says it's up, but when I try to login it sits for a while then says "Failure to connect after 10 tries" and kicks me back to the menu. I'm in Comp games until it gets fixed.
