Lost TF2 need Help

Hello all. Yesterdays Up date(12-3-13) for steam killed only my TF2 games. when I try to join it says " server not responding". I uninstalled then reinstalled and that didn't help. any server I try to join says the same thing. when I search for server.. none found. TF2 is now dead. McAfee stopped something with out me allowing it to continue.. BUT McAfee is not working on this pc either. So I cant do anything... any help on what I can do to fix ? It did take todays auto down load.. as always (12-4-13) but yesterdays.. killed it for me. I cant do anything with TF2. need help

Have you tried verifying the local game files? Tends to fix most problems.

Thanks for the help Mr. Monday... sorry I don't know how to do that.. I'm only a little OK with a computer. I would need more information to do so if you can provide me with that ? Thanks for helping... I so need it
