I know some of you guys shared this when we did that ego member sharing event thing a few weeks ago, but not everyone shared the reason for this username. Who knows there may be some interesting stories.

Here is mine. BoinkVX goes way back to when I was like 7 or 8 years old it originally my older brother's Runescape account and character name. I think he was just thinking of some random funny sounding words and came up with Boink. My brother first told me the VX was supposed to represent the roman numeral 15, then he told me he changed the meaning to "Version 5", in the end I eventually figured out that it's only purpose was to make the name unique since Boink is a common username. After a couple of years, I just stole the name from him and made it my username for my Warcraft III account. Being just a kid I looked up to my brother so I assumed it was like the best name ever and I couldn't think of anything better. After that it kinda just stuck, and I was too lazy to ever think of something else. Also as a side note everyone misreads my name as Bonk which I find rather amusing.

Hmm......I guess Shy guy because it represents what I am and who everyone else is. Just some unknown weird people behind masks(or monitor, idk). I don't know much about you but more importantly you don't know much about me.

Well back when I was in high school (many moons ago) I used to play in a CS 1.6 hookmod clan called Raw. I was Raw Rabbit. 2-3 of us had animals after Raw so we all became animals. Raw then changed to War. So I was War Rabbit. I eventually changed it to War Rabb. But the clan changed names again to Utopia (they still exist 8 years later as Utopia!) and I played as Utopia War Rabb.

Nowadays I just play was War Rabb in every game I play. :)

Good thread.

I inherited it from my brother, when he got married. I think he got it from original Diablo spell, with a super in front of it. I guess I have to pass it on soon too......

Razberri has been a name I've used practically since I started doing anything online. I was young(er) and couldn't think of anything besides my own name, so I used my name! RAZ is actually my initials. Soooo I've always had the nickname raz or raspberry because of it. ^_^

I used to participate in a lot of LARPs. For those who don't know what a LARP is, it's Live Action Role-Playing. In college we did a lot of Old World of Darkness Vampire: The Masquerade. Moving back to New York after college, I found a LARPing group that did Vampire. After the game ended, they switched to another OWoD game called Mage: The Ascension. Being the techie I am, I decided to become a Virtual Adept (consider it a class if you will). Virtual Adepts are supposed to be hackers, techies and all of the sort that uses a handle. It reminded me of my early programming days where I used to accidentally cause a buffer overflow like all the time. So I was like, wait! People say my method of thinking is very methodical and logical, so why not Logic Overflow?! After that, the name just stuck.

from 2005-2008 my username for everything was "Grosserne", a word I made up because I found a "Goosebumps" series book translated into some other language in fifth grade and that's how me and my friends thought that was how you pronounced it and we thought it was hilarious. Then one day my friend signed onto Xbox Live and his gamer tag was Dr and then part of his last name, and since we always made clans for whatever shooters were popular at the time, I figured I would change mine to Dr J Liver, being that my name is Joe Livermore. Then eventually I made that my account name for everything and people in middle school/high school would yell it in the hallways and call me it haha and then I eventually made it my DJ name so now I can never change it.

SilverDragonTS. The name goes back about 13 years. Silver happends to be my favorite color, and dragons my favorite creature of legend. TS stands for The Scarred, i have a large scar on my arm from an accident I was in.

When I first got my own steam account when I was 8 and got DoD:S I needed a name, this was around the time I started to love gerbils so thus the name cutegerbil was born and I joined eGO under the name cutegerbil. Almost a year ago I made it gerbil :)

Once upon a time, I read the first book of a brand spankin' new series called the Keys to the Kingdom, by a certain Garth Nix. In it, there are 7 supremely powerful deific beings called the Trustees of the Will of the Architect, also known as the Morrow Days. Each eventually became afflicted with one of the seven deadly sins, which drove their areas of the House (a non-afterlife celestial bureaucracy) into near destruction, which would have taken the rest of the universe (the Secondary Realms), with it.

The Morrow Days are
*Mister Monday - Sloth
*Grim Tuesday - Greed
*Drowned Wednesday - Gluttony
*Sir Thursday - Wrath
*Lady Friday - Lust
*Superior Saturday - Envy
*Lord Sunday - Pride

I've always had a fondness for time-based names, such as a group I use in various stories called the Annual Society (a member for each month, etc), so I latched onto these stories immediately (along with the fact that they're just so darn awesome).

Eventually, I decided that Mister Monday was my favorite of the Trustees, and it was also the book that drew me into the series, so I co-opted it into my repertoire of time-based names and continue to use it to this day.

Plus, it has alliteration. I love alliteration. So there.

Those are all names of the Homunculus in FullMetal Alchemist...That kinda makes sense I guess.

My name, I can't even really remember how it originated. I'm pretty sure I used it before my COD days but yeah. It all started off with my name, Sol. I then made a username for a Japanese board game I play online called Go. So of course, my username became Solgo. When it came to COD though, I didn't really want to use the username. So I tried to come up with something else to use. So yeah, not sure how I came up with Silligan but it's a combination of the word silly, my name, my brothers name, and gan sounded good on the end.
