Your thoughts about filling a server.

Hello all Snuggle here with a very important question.

If you had a job of filling up a server, how would you fill that server up?

Please everyone post some of your ideas, all your tips/tricks will be taken in to consideration!

Don't worry if you think your method of filling a server is stupid or silly, you never know what works until we try it!

If I'm feeling patient I'll just join a server and wait. Someone will eventually join and it will grow from there. I don't like to spam invite because i don't like getting spam invites and I'm not a hypocrite.

My personal method of choice is similar to that of Slam's. I would go into a server with a few friends and play around a bit and overtime people will start to join.

If I'm not in school, using the game and just seed the server whilst sleeping.

I have a couple of friends that I like to bug that I'll ask to join. Usually if you can get 3 or 4 people in it'll start to fill on it's own.

When I fill the CSGO server, I sent out an annoucment on the server filling group, and I also give away a gift case when the server reaches 20 people, 30, 40 etc. As well as getting a few friends to help fill it, I know the server can sometimes get boring filling it by yourself.

Seeding doesn't always work though, if you join a server because it has 7 people, you're just going to leave when you get there and they're all afk in spectator

It only works when you have other people playing. So the server looks more filled.

I usually only start a server if i feel like it. Not if I'm told to.

Well, some servers, it's a hit or miss on the days it can be filled (i.e. Office). But, I'm always more than happy to come fill a server if needed, when needed. Or, just hop in an empty server and mess around until others start joining.

Generally, I join servers(other than mine fav dust2 server.. ) after getting notification of Edge Gamers Organization: CSS Division steam community posts. Maybe, a few more regular posts might help in filling up the server...and idling in the server isn't that much nice, as sometime i joined jail server, only to find specs.
