Then why did you price on iBuyPower?

Then why did you price on iBuyPower?

lol.

iBuyPower builds the PC for you...

You're not building a computer... You're customizing it by having someone build it for you while you choose the parts. iBuyPower comes pre-built when you order from them. Which they add in labor for putting it together.

Its like buying an alienware laptop and saying that you got the i7 version over the i5. That is customizing it. Allowing you to choose the part you want while alienware builds it. (Although I dont expect you anytime soon to know how to build a laptop or machine the cases for one.)

I'm confused. D:

If you intend to build it yourself, you should use NewEgg/TigerDirect/Amazon/PCPartPicker/etc. and not price it on iBuyPower because of hilarious price inflation and a selection of components that will NOT be available on any custom-component sites such as Newegg and the others.

(Which is a good thing that they're not available outside of iBP -- their stock hard drives and power supplies are so poorly-constructed it's depressing.)

Yeah. I know. That's why I asked, because he told us he was building it. :P

So you should price it on newegg/pcpartspicker so we can have a better gauge of your ideal price.

The PSU is plenty for gaming.

Also, he needs a new PC. He says he wants the best, so I threw in the i7 because that is a great processor.

And G-Skill memory is great. I have had no issues, and it's Newegg's Customers Choice for PC memory. Over 3,000 positive reviews about this memory. As mentioned by another player, there really isn't a difference between 1600 Mhz and 2400, aside from price.

you need to setup XMP you know this right I have 2666 ram now a days does not use the timings they use the MHz speed 2400 for a boost will go a long way just saying!!

This would be a great PC:
Case
PSU
Thermal Compound
GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD4H
Corsair H110 Cooler
GeForce GTX 780
CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 8GB 2400MHz
Intel Core i7-4770K
180GB SATA III SSD

If all you plan to do is play minecraft and source games with a top end gaming PC; I suggest you save your money and not blow it on a high end gaming machine that wont even be used to 10% of its potential.

Ok people that are commenting on this please read all my posts thoroughly so i dont have to explain everything more than once. I will say it one more time i plan to mostly play minecraft ftb mod (feed the beast) but i will also be playing css tf2 l4d and other steam games. Its my money ill spend it how i want. Sushi when i put those parts THEY WERE BEFORE I STARTED THIS THREAD. So this thread was made because i dont really know what to put in this computer and i needed help from people that know computers. So can i stop getting comments saying that i shouldnt spend my money or why im spending my money like this i dont know what is best for my needs it is going to be a strictly gaming computer.

I'm not asking for your budget because I'd just like to know how much money you have. I'm asking for your budget because it's necessary to make a build with price efficiency.

Again. You say you're playing minecraft and other steam games. 85% of the games on steam could easily be run on max settings with a year old 560Ti.

We arent trying to anger you. I think you are just misunderstanding all of us while we try to make sense of what you are saying.

Earlier you said you built computers for friends that use them for work. If you're already building computers for work machines I would expect a little knowledge on what stuff is fast and what isnt. Just my opinion. You also keep saying that money isnt an issue. Everyone has a budget. I could easily make 5 gaming desktops that easily cost more than 10,000 USD each. Are you seriously willing to drop new car money on a PC that wouldnt even be used to 10% of its potential?

Personally, You should have a budget. Not having a budget is your worst enemy and you are telling us to do a somewhat difficult job without us knowing how much money you're willing to drop into it.

Hell. If money isnt an issue. Go buy out nasa. Their computers are much better than mine and anyone elses. I am sure you could run feed the beast on that.

(Also, Minecraft mod "Feed the beast" is not labor intensive. Its just another mod to add more things to do to the game. If you can run normal minecraft you wont have issues running FTB.)

Money isnt an issue for me cause money is money i make 5k a month. When someone says there is no budget there is no budget. I built computers for friends that used it for work and ordered the parts for themselves so all i had to do is put them together. And i do have problems running ftb its very laggy on my current computer.

So you actually plan to spend new car money on a computer?

No, I don't think you understand. We're asking you to help us help you.
