My list here is pretty good you could change out the mother board for a gaming board just make sure it is a 1150 socket and can take up to 3000MHz ram speeds.

Sorry to chime in but I can't support anything with Intel in it. it's a solid CPU but you're purchasing a name, and a very dumb one at that... if it was Raptor Processing or Pimp processing I could justify the extra $100 you add on for the name but Intel... SERIOUSLY? It's an "INSIDE" joke. Go with AMD. They're 8320 line is pretty sweet. 8350 if you got the money. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html

I paid $100 for mine I believe. Steer clear of the 95xx series though, it runs at 220Watts and no matter what your budget is... no one can stomach electric cost... Your statement alone shows how hypocritical you are. Saying you shouldn't buy Intel because of the name alone when performance shows the i7-4770K being a better performer than the 8320. The 8320 is a strong CPU for the price, but in absolute performance, it's definitely behind the CPU. And with the OP's statement about cost not being a limitation, I don't see why you would recommend a weaker CPU over a more powerful one.
Side question to OP: You're actually banking 5K after taxes per month, and you don't have to worry about other bills? That has to be nice...

Nope never watched captain planet dont really care about this planet zombie apocolypse gunna happen and thanks butters and lethedethius for the info but serious question whats the difference between the intel and other processors? Is it just the name or is there a big difference?

Well its two jobs one is bar tending/manager at my family's bar/restaurant and other is working 3-4 graveyard shifts as an embalmer at a funeral home witch is very freaky

Intel vs amd I would google it Jake I rather intel then amd to me its like a Lexus vs Toyota you know what im saying you get wat you pay for!!! if you really wanted I could build the rig for you just take a look at my rig I am in $2500 (CAD) and not done yet.
Intel and AMD are the two primary CPU manufacturers in the world. Right now, Intel is the performance king with the highest (and most expensive) performing CPUs. AMD honestly cannot compete directly against Intel at that level (yet), so they make up for it with good, powerful CPUs that are relatively affordable compared to Intel's offerings.
You can NOT switch an AMD CPU for an Intel CPU in the same computer because they use different sockets to plug into, and several other things that I won't get into. Namely, whatever CPU you're using, that's the kind of motherboard you're stuck using (unless you replace it as well, which can be a lot of work depending on your experience level). So it's important, when building, that you pick the CPU that you want to use and make sure it'll last for however long it'll be until your next upgrade. That's why I recommended going with an Intel i7 Ivy Bridge CPU because it's the more powerful CPU that'll last longer for you, even though it's more expensive (no limit on your budget).

$5k a month after taxes? That's $60k a month, which is sweet! I'd love that kind of pay. My dad gets over $10k a month after taxes. For 2013 our income was ~$110,000 after taxes, but then you count in insurance for 3 cars, gas for 4 cars, a loan on a $94k car, mortgage, bills, etc and it's barely anything.

Anyway, that i7 Processor will be fantastic for your needs. It is the latest and greatest from Intel for the price (unless you pay another $1k for their i7 Extreme Edition) and performs like a boss in games. I personally pack an i7, a 4GB AMD video card, and 12GB of memory and I can literally play BF4 and CS:GO at the same time. One has to be minimized, but I think it's funny. I wouldn't be able to do that without the power of Intel! >

But realistically, an i5 would perform just as well (maybe a few fps performance detriment) at $100 less.

Yea if the OP is looking at playing Minecraft then there really isn't a need for the i7. That's exactly what I was thinking when I built my PC: I wanted something that could play Counter Strike Source and GO at 1080p maxed out no prob. I was going to settle for a Core 2 Extreme, but I bough the i7-4770k (especially since I got it for $98 brand new) instead. Nowadays I'm playing Hitman Absolution, Crysis, BF4, etc maxed out.
So if you have the extra cash, it's always better to go for the next option up. Who knows? Maybe when Crysis 5 comes out in 10 years and requires two i7s to run, you'll already have one! ^^ ~sarcasm~

Yea crysis 5 will come out prob when hl3 comes out but sofar it looks like the i7 is top rated si ill get that ok and flame just saying re-read your comment about money i dont make 60k a month if i did i wouldnt be in ny any more if i was making 720k a year lol but i understood what u ment
