My background, also, is very similar to Sixxgunn. I'm 36 and my gaming days begin back with Wizardry and Ultima for the Apple IIe. My first network game (in the old Appletalk days =) was Maze Wars for the Mac in 1987 I believe. That graduated into Bolo (again a Mac game which was small enough to allow us to play across the internet back in 1993) and of course Marathon, one of the first FPS games network games (slight rant... People think Co-op mode single player for the later Halo series was so revolutionary... WRONG! Did that over 12 years ago with the Marathon series =)

Had to move into the PC world with work and moved into other games... Myth, UT, Battlefield, CS, and one of my old favorites, DF:Blackhawk Down. I have enjoyed TF2 as it seems to bring in all the best elements of the FPS games out there. Although I have yet to see any other game beat the ease of creating maps as the editors for DF:BHD. I could create a map in an hour or so and begin playing on it.

I too have enjoyed the eGO group as it does remind me of the online gaming from the past. People who want to play, have a good time, and help those around them. None of this bad mouthing or kicking noobs, but instead, helping them to become better. I've never been part of an actual clan before, but have been part of loosely organized groups from work and school. This is why I joined eGO. It feels like a community, not a group whose sole interest is to slaughter the noobs to boost their points.

Anyways, it's great to be here gaming with you.

I came here because, well, one because of Sixxgunn. And garden. They seemed like cool guys so I said I'd check out the website. it was also because of the idea that were more people like them on the other servers. Which sounded great.

Sorta long story... I played on the same css server for almost a year and became friends with all the regulars and c;an members... I never became a member myself but then for a reason I dont know there was a clan split up and it was really ugly and just turned me off of counter strike so I decided to play day of defeat. It seemed I could never find any really good servers until I stumbled upon the dod strand server. I lived that map and had some great times on it but hadnt thought of joining the clan yet. Then one day Garden Grove VW wanted help filling up the kustom kettle server so I went there and we played together for a while and I had alot of fun. Then he suggested I should join so I did. A few months of that and tf2 came out so I got into it and am liking it more than dod. Thats how I remember it...
