As many of you likely know, the prizes given out at events have all been donated by generous members of the community. Traditionally, when someone wants to donate to the division, they need to get in contact with a leadership member, who then has to log out and and then into the backpack account, and add you to your friends list so that you can send them a trade. Unfortunately, this makes it difficult for all the parties involved to keep our donation system running. In an effort to simplify the process, Sephiroth has donated his time to automating the Backpack accounts. If you would like to donate to Backpack or Backpack Jr, all you have to do is add it to your friends list, send it a trade, and give it the items you wish to donate.
The backpacks will accept anything that you trade them, including steam items like trading cards and games, except for crates or items from games other than TF2. For instance, if you wanted to trade an item from Dota 2, you would be unable. If you have something that is not accepted by the bot that you would like to trade such as a salvaged crate, contact any Leadership member, and they will take your donation the old fashioned way.
