What to Do with Instagib? Round One

One subject of discussion at the March admin roundtable was the fate of the Instagib server. Despite promises by elite players to play on the server (and the hilarity of sending other divisions to that server for their roadtrips), Instagib has not caught on and so we are looking for YOUR opinion on what to do with it.

This list was compiled from all of the suggestions made by administrators who attended the roundtable discussion. Everyone has a chance to vote in this. There will be several rounds of voting as we narrow down which proposals are more preferred. This is a multiple choice poll, so select however many options you choose but be mindful that only one of these choices will ultimately win.

This thread is also an ideal place to engage in a discussion about each proposal's merits and to ask any questions.

Well I love payload but I love Upward/badwater even more, Radio even spend more time playing skial Badwater than eGO egypt. So... We need a Badwater/Upward/Goldrush Rotation or Upward 24/7 c: Also we need to get rid of 2fort and Foundry.

The problem with SH is that it really doesn't feel like TF2. It's a minigame.

Saxton Hale is where one totally overpowered melee-only guy goes against 20 regular players either running for their own lives, or hiding out somewhere to be the last guy alive and/or to kill Hale after he's been weakened. There's honestly no element of teamwork, no memorable moments occuring, and I can see it having the same fate as the current Instagib plugin.

What I really want Instagib to become is a server just like the ones we're always on; Heavy-Medics destroying, Spies sapping mega Sentry nests, crit rockets flying left and right, and true teamwork throughout. And I'd want the server to last, and to actually survive for more than half a week. I know you guys want that as well.

I think a steady Arena rotation would be the best bet, as there aren't many around these days. I feel like that factor would move us up the ranks on novelty alone. If that wasn't an option, however, I'm one for Upward.

Why do we need to get rid of 2fort and Foundry? they both have no problem in staying filled and I know at least for 2fort that it has a lot of regulars both pubs and eGO members.

I've been voting for KOTH rotation every time a server's fate is voted on for some time now, because our servers need more variety.

24/7 Black Mesa, 24/7 Convoy and 24/7 Warpath shouldn't be implemented because I believe we don't have people who will actually fill them, even if they vote for them. Also, Black Mesa Sunday, Convoy and Warpath events wouldn't be a thing anymore as well.
